Within one hour of MRFF’s press release and demand yesterday to the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA)’s superintendent Lieutenant General Tony D. Bauernfiend, MRFF received word and confirmation from multiple clients at the USAFA that the superintendent is now “suddenly” allowing Jewish cadets to travel to West Point for Jewish Warrior Weekend!

One phone call and the Air Force Academy decides they are a little more “inclusive” than they thought they were going to be!
I don’t get it! You’ve got a three star running the place but has to be reminded that we maintain a secular military that includes an all volunteer military from all faiths and all walks of life?
And that he took an oath to protect the freedom of religion in a little document called the Constitution! Un-fucking real!
How the fuck do these oath-breakers get into these positions if leadership to begin with? At the three star level, you can’t figure out that denying religious freedom might be problematic?
What the fuck – over?
You shouldn’t have to have anyone remind a three star that he swore to protect and defend the Constitution! Ought to be kind of baked in to the leadership recipe!

How despicable that the superintendent, who no doubt makes speeches about the honorable traditions of the Academy in defending the country, its people, and its democratic institutions, feels free to push around cadets out of pure, ugly bigotry – until confronted by an organization that can cause him and the Academy public embarrassment. Kudos to the MRFF for (again) bringing to the superintendent’s attention the laws and values to which he pays lip service but normally ignores.
O’Bama got rid of all the really good generals and admirals. That’s where it started.
Mary Graham, who was this “O’Bama”, and how did this person get “. . . rid of all the really good generals and admirals”? Who were these Generals and Admirals? How were they eliminated? By firing squad? Hung from the yard arm? Shot off in circus cannons?
I was wholly unaware that there was an Irish official somewhere in DoD with the authority to do that.
And since International Talk Like a Pirate Day is coming next Thursday, I’ll interject this a bit early . . . “Shiver me timbers!” I may have to get a towel emblazoned with the skull and crossbones, especially since I missed Towel Day this year . . . .
Argh me maties! Talk Like A Pirate Day is a “must celebrate” holiday in my house. One of my Mals (now across the bridge) had her birthday (no clue acutual date so she chose Pirate Day being she looked like one) on this day. Means a lot to me.
But I’m certain Mary Graham wasn’t speaking of TLAPD, in fact her comment has a tone to it with an almost racist intent.
The “good” generals? Really? Those who left the service under former President Obama were removed from duty justifiably as they were serving not the USA but the precursors of MAGA and Christian nationalism.
I did my due diligence, perhaps I missed something. That said, the sudden release of funds, the Christian rock and rap over the loudspeakers… Yeah, I’m going to say that there are more that need to be ‘let go’.
You know, my property taxes went up…..again. And it didn’t have anything to do with State legislatures allowing public education money to go to private Christian schools. It was…….….Obama!

I’m with Mary. Trump, for some reason, put those “woke” Generals into his cabinet and let them run the Department of Defense. I don’t know why he did that. Everyone knew they were Obama operatives!
But Trump plays multi-dementia chess! He put bad people in his cabinet, that he later fired, to teach you-the-people what NOT to do! But he couldn’t just tell you that. He had to let you experience it. He has to first create a problem to show you what it would be like if he did it for reals. You know, to show you how smart he is!
You can’t do a clean up on aisle 4 if there’s nothing to clean up!
That’s why he is the genus that he is!
He had to do all those stupid things to show you ….. Obama! And to make a few hundred million on the side. But that’s a small price to pay for a genus like Trump!

I think what held this up is the superintendent of the Academy was probably checking to see if any of these cadets were involved or associated with eating people’s pets! Or geese in the parks. I’m sure they have geese somewhere near the academy.
Yeah, I know, harsh punishment, the denial of religious services, but, you know, you can’t be too careful these days, given the Trump certainty that your pets are getting stolen and eaten. It has to be part of security vetting, unfortunately, particularly at the Air Force Academy where Christianity is the chosen religion. In fact, a lot of people don’t know this, but the Air Force Academy, like the country, was founded on Christian values!
We know that Christians don’t eat people’s pets but, those other religions? Who knows what they’re up to? I mean, childless cat ladies could be eating dogs! There are a few young women at the Academy. We know they’re not married and maybe they had cats. If they’re not Christian, then obviously we’d want to put them through some extra security screening just to be sure, in this case, they’re not going to go off to West Point and stealing someone’s pet!
I don’t know what all the hoopla is about. These cadets were just vetted a little closer than Christians, no foul (excepting a few geese as Trump says – but he’s the former President – he ought to know!).
Yeah, I know, the whole Judeo-Christian thing, but we’re under a new covenant so really it’s a Christian thing, so there’s really no Judeo in the Judeo-Christian title. It’s a Christian thing, just like this country is! Nobody wants Christ-killers in positions of leadership (even though it was a planned event – God killed his son to give us vicarious redemption).
If Trump says they’re eating your dogs and cats, then they’re eating your dogs and cats (careful what restaurants you visit!).
Obviously the superintendent is a MAGAT, owing to the initial road blocks put in the way to hold up what has been, in the past, a routine religious exercise, showing a fealty to the Christian bent of the Academy leadership.
Disparate treatment comes from the top. If you had leadership that upheld their oaths to the Constitution, this wouldn’t have been an issue.
The superintendent should be removed, unfit to lead, inability to be objective, non-discriminatory when it comes to religion – as long as it’s Christianity!
