THIS is exactly why we need MRFF! If it hadn’t been clear to folks previously, the current social and political environment makes it easy for people in positions of power to abuse others’ Constitutional rights to freedom of religion.
Unfortunately, it’s not enough to resist when commanders either abuse their positions or allow others to. As I write this, I’m listening to Paul Simon’s “American Tune”. He wrote, “We come in the age’s most uncertain hours
And sing an American tune.” This is the time to come together to sing that new American tune! We need to collectively envision futures of the Armed Forces in which all our rights are respected. When we get enough Americans to sing with us, we can create those futures that serve all Americans!
Seems to me, if you believe the story, that Jesus was pretty “woke,” given his propensity for diversity, equity, and inclusion, using the colloquial interpretation of “woke.”
Kind of ironic that you’d have a Commander, implicitly, answering his own question with regard to what Jesus would do.
Wouldn’t he help those the least fortunate among us? Heal the sick, alms for the poor. Kind of a proto-socialism? You know, in a different sort of way, a precursor to universal health care, food banks, improvement in the quality of life, piety at the source?
Seems like I remember something about it being easier for a camel to get through the eye of a needle than a rich man getting into heaven. Bad news Elon! Bad news Donnie boy!
Christianity being very binary, you either get into Heaven or you go to Hell? Not looking good for our two Presidents! The United States, for now, has one of the most, if not THE most lethal military on the planet.
But Petey Hogsbreath and Trumptie Dumptie are doing everything they can to change that.

What do you mean they’re seasoned employees and the job requires years of experience? Someone call Elon. Get DOGE boys in here. They can do nuclear weapons right?
The “but” part, the unspoken part, is that the federal workforce, in terms of cost, is peanuts compared to the contract work force that currently supports the military machine and it’ll cost a lot more to replace those fired civil servants and put for-profit contractors in!
But being for-profit makes it more lucrative for friends-of-Pete and MAGA members of Congress. You know, campaign donations.
There were many more civilians deployed in our last twenty years of war, contractors and federal civilians, than military personnel. Fact.
You know why? Because the military doesn’t fix their own shit any more, for the most part.
Everything is boiled down to Line Replaceable Units (LRUs). A technical manual might say, “to find and fix the indicated failure, replace module A159.” When that doesn’t work, call a contractor!
One Rolls Royce engine Rep, deployed, runs about $2 mil/year. Same for a Lockheed rep for Hellfire missiles. Raytheon Rep for Patriot Air Defense system about the same. Not to mention maintenance support in garrison (when they’re not at war).
Decimating the federal workforce also decimates the military logistics and procurement tail, the winning ingredient to successful mission outcomes.
So yeah Petey, Oh Great Faux Entertainment Host. “You just go on with your bad self,” as we say in the south!
Let us know how that works out when your military can’t fix shit, but also when you can’t get repair parts and supplies because you indiscriminately fired everyone. Many of them veterans. You know, folks that were subject material experts on Weapon systems, logistics, and procurement.
If other countries ever put a tariff on stupidity, it’s going to destroy MAGA exports!

Too many of my fellow citizens still believe running a government like a business is a good thing. Too many have nary a clue as to what the differences are, nor do they exhibit the slightest curiosity to find out why the divide exists.
I’ve been quiet as health has been an issue. The insecurity of not knowing if I’m going to be homeless plays a part and I’m not alone in my thoughts.
I’m prepared by having mental health skills but so many who are in the same situation do not. Extreme food and housing insecurity causes my fellow dorm mates to lose their ever living mind and since they have no skills loud and violent become their methods of coping. It’s been a bit colorful here at the dorm as the stressors continue to build. I’m thankful for the Mental Health teams that answer the urgent but not violent calls to 911.
Regarding this post I’m glad the MRFF and Mikey was able to get the light of day to shine upon the speaker. When he asked What would Jesus do? my first thought was feed the hungry, welcome the immigrant… I mean, that’s the message on all the Easter greeting cards, yes? Glad to read I was not alone in these thoughts.
I have news – the resistance is alive and well and kicking the FOTUS admin where it hurts the most – in the courts. Untold heroes every day look at the DOGE officers who commit unlawful acts and file suits to stop them in their tracks. These employees with standing aren’t the big wigs, they are you and me just doing their job and serving their country; in every way the patriot WeThePeople need in the here/now.
So much stuff smashed I hear over and over. Yep, that’s what fascists like to do, smash things. No worry, our stuff was all beat up and busted anyway. It’s just stuff and it can be replaced.

Of course the Project 2025 goal was to privatize everything so none of the safety features WeThePeople all voted to create are available when they tank the economy. This sends all those ‘at risk’ and ‘in need’ people to the churchs, the “traditional” giver of charity.
If I had a dwindling congregation and an expanded need for MONEY that’s how I would do it.
I know, the supposed reason for all this is to usher in the era of “Return of Jesus” but once greed and the lust for the pleasures of the flesh got ahold of the priest class… yeah, the target is the same, gotta keep hold of those rubes, but the reasons changed.
The USA is crashing. It’s been crashing for a while. All one needed as proof was to follow the ever shrinking safety net. When a country fails to take care of the least of their population, the writing is on the wall.
So, here’s a thought; maybe when things are falling apart they are in reality falling into place. We will never know whether our government would have withstood the level of audits demanded by the People here/now. What we do know is that the government currently in place is telling us to our face that they never intend on leaving, that they are doing this for world domination, and they aren’t even shy.
Right now the battle is in the courts. If this was a movie we’d be watching a montage of court room after court room, aka this is the boring stuff. Necessary but totes boring. Like dusting the house or washing the walls kind of boring.
It will take the markets crashing to bring the oligarchs and tech bros to their knees. It will take suffering of the likes of the Great Depression.
