Christian nationalist defense secretary Petey Hegseth is now openly and without impunity completely flouting the Constitution and DoD regulations by hosting official monthly “Secretary’s Prayer Meetings” in the Pentagon auditorium during the duty day, billed in Petey’s e-mail invitation to today’s inaugural “Secretary’s Prayer Meeting,” sent to Pentagon personnel, as a “Christian prayer and Worship service.”

Old Soldier, did you actually read what the New York Times reported? If you had, you’d probably understand why Mikey compared what’s happening with Secretary Hegseth’s clearly un-Constitutional call to prayer to the Holocaust. What Mikey said is that this assault upon religious freedom is akin to the Holocaust.
Think for a moment why that might be. According to the Times’ reporting Secretary Hegseth invited people into the chapel during duty hours to have a conservative Christian prayer service. According to the Times, Secretary Hegseth called President Trump ” . . . a divinely appointed leader.”
I could spend a considerable amount of time critiquing that assessment. But rather than do that, let me focus on the real reason Secretary Hegseth’s “invitation” to a prayer session was offensive to the Constitution — and, being an Old Soldier, you already know this. Secretary Hegseth is at the pinnacle of power in the Pentagon. When he issues an “invitation” like this, there’s an implicit threat: come, or expect your career to end.
I’m certain that, as an Old Soldier, you’ve seen people in your chain of command abuse their position to coerce compliance with things they have no business asking of people. And if Christians are asking MRFF to step in to stop this violation of their religious freedom, be certain that they got Secretary Hegseth’s message. That message? “Be my kind of Christian or be gone!”
Mrffpussybrigade, I doubt that Mikey Weinstein would have accepted that invitation if it had even been offered. Unless, of course, he’d have wanted to document the abuse of the Constitution that Secretary Hegseth committed.
At least Secretary Hegseth had the sense not to make that invitation — unlike his “. . .divinely appointed leader” who takes calls from newspaper reporters who record their discussions and expose the duncely doings of the President in his own words!

Health care, for example, should be “for people,” not “for profit.” Every other country in the OECD recognizes this, except America!
70 million people on Medicare in this country and Congress will not allow Medicare to negotiate drug prices! Absurd!
Why? Because health care is for-profit and with those profits comes corporate political bribery, pay offs, payola, mordida, to politicians. One hand washes the other.
For those 70 million seniors, if hospitalized, they’re going to get you stabilized and out of there as soon as possible, after you pay your $1626 co-pay. You get 20 days in a skilled nursing facility (say, after a stroke, regardless of severity), and then you get the privilege of paying $6,270/month for days 21 – 100.
It won’t get better, unfortunately. It’ll just keep getting worse.
The current regime in particular believes that if you don’t or cant work, then you shouldn’t get health care! On your own for whatever life brings your way!
Trump has managed to accelerate the fall of this empire and will continue to do so. You hear it every day with another grift scheme or one that further isolates America from the rest of the world, at the expense of you, further distancing the “haves” from the “have nots” in this country.
Christian Nationalism will eventually cave in on itself, but not before it gets much much worse! If you tell a person they’re persecuted over and over and over again, they’ll begin to believe it.
