Christmas Stocking stuffers

Interestingly enough, not a week after those of us on Maxwell AFB had to be RESENT the 1 Sep 2011 CSAF memorandum on Government Neutrality Regarding Religion due to a member of a Commander’s staff sending out an invite to a base-wide Christmas event, this pops into my inbox. Although the germ of the email was sent from Maxwell’s Chaplain, he sends it on to the Command Sgts and First Shirts for dissemination, essentially directing them to send this message out from their Command. Which is exactly what the 1 Sep memo explicitly said not to do! And I know that the Chaplain’s office has access to everyone’s accounts because I have received mass emails from them in the past. I have no idea why they choose to go this route. What a way to “get around the memo”, right? I can’t believe this continues to happen.
