The good people who put these tables together do it to honor our fallen men and women. The MRFF dishonors them for publicity and money and that makes me sick

The old soldier who whines all the time has one thing correct – there are good people who put together the MIA/POW tables. I know, I said something nice about the old soldier. Don’t worry, I won’t let it happen again.

Historically when I think back at the POW/MIA table topic there always has to be that one human who spoils everything by branding the table with their specific book of faith.

Sounds harmless until you learn that branding the table with their and only their faith means they are telling all who see the table if you don’t follow THEIR faith as represented by the book on the table, you don’t matter so you won’t be looked for or found, and if in prison you will remain there forever because you don’t believe what they believe. It’s cruelty without saying words and is what the old soldier celebrates every time they comment here.

For the record, the MRFF only responds to POW/MIA table issues if a service critter – current or veteran – calls the MRFF because of the above scenario aka book of faith on a table that is inclusive for all and no faiths. The MRF really doesn’t have the personnel or time to be policing every military and veteran installation. But that never stops the old soldier nor the many bots and trolls who just have to be the gadflys of the internet.

You know, as a pagan looking in from the outside I always understood Jesus to be a ‘put another leaf in the table’ kind of guy. Too bad the old soldier embodies the “no room at the inn” archetype.

If it weren’t for America’s foreign interventions there wouldn’t be a POW/MIA table to begin with not to mention that there seems to be an accountability issue relative to how one becomes MIA to begin with. It means someone got left behind!

Americans are great for vicariously providing self-therapy for misdeeds to assuage guilt, building icons of worship to tell themselves that they’re really not that bad.

And, of course, no therapy would be complete without adding the Christian God to the mix. That all powerful creator that could have prevented it to begin with.

70 years on and we’re still putting up the iconography of a “missing man” table at a place you go to get health care? It tells me that in spite of your wishful thinking, it might be a place where you get left behind regarding treatment.

But alas, the primary reason to go there is for disability compensation. The VA is half treatment and half bank, a bank that gives away money in its socialized compensation model.

$400 Billion dollars, the VA budget for 2026 with 48% of that being spent on disability compensation.

Don’t worry old schooler. We’re not going to come after your disability compensation for eating all that unleaded bread during the Storm!

The VA budget is completely separate, for a reason, from the defense base budget, as is the coast guard, nuclear weapons, CIA and black operations.

With Trumptie’s new allocations just for the base budget, the U.S. will b3 spending well beyond $2 Trillion dollars a year on defense related activities to support the Epstein class and the endless wars of the military industrial complex. You know, socialized corporate interest, the military, as you can see with this latest Iran quagmire, nothing but a product development venture of the arms manufacturers. The arms manufacturing industry also includes prosthetic devices for those that happen to hit the wrong lottery.

But we compensate them when they go off to fight for the Epstein class, a little vicarious redemption for the beleaguered.

Old Schooler is nothing but a leach sucking off the public tit, a true socialist, like so many others. Nothing against them. It’s not an individual issue, it’s systemic. A socialized construct to support the hegemony of a dying empire, one reliant on boogeyman conflicts that rob you blind.

Wow, Beast, how about we don’t and say goodbye to the racism and bigotry which has haunted humanity for more than a minute?

Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for doing some lynching, not the targets Beast prefers of course, but I don’t because humanity has a social contract wherein we each agree to treat others with the same politeness we want for ourselves.

Of course Beast doesn’t see things that way because of course they don’t as they are programmed to be as offensive as possible in spaces who advocate equality and the following of the laws written for the people by the people. And yes, programmed, bot or human the MAGA base however they identify has been programmed to hate their neighbor and to say horrific things.

Those are the folks I’d like to lynch, see how they appreciate the whole doing to others what you want done to yourself cycle of thought.

Side note – early in my life I identified as a masochist so the Do unto others ideology got me into a lot of trouble back in the day. I found out quickly the mantra of don’t be a jerk to be more accurate as it pertains to how we treat each other.
