Hello,
I first found out about you and your foundation when I was reading about the Trijicon scopes that were inscribed with Bible verses. First and foremost, I truly think that if you think scopes shouldn’t have bible verses on them then you should not be permitted to use US currency since it says “In God We Trust” if you won’t use a scope with a Bible verse on it then you should have NO American money. If no one has noticed that these scopes had verses on them in over 30 years then whats the big deal about it now? 76% of the United States is Christian, 76% of the United States pray for our Troops daily. Aren’t you glad that over half the United States takes time everyday to pray for them? Whether you believe in God or not it should at least make you happy that somewhere at any given time someone is praying for your son (if he is still in the Air Force)? If for one second you can tell me that doesn’t make the feel anything at all then you my sir do not deserve to live in the United States. I understand that not everyone is Christian and everyone has a choice to believe in whatever they want, well I specifically read on your Facebook page that your goal was not to take Religion out of the Military. If that was truly your goal then why would you care if a scope had a tiny barely noticeable Bible verse on it? You are trying to take Religion out of the Military! I really don’t need to go on anymore than I already have (if you even take the time to read it). I think you can tell from my message that I absolutely DO NOT agree with your foundation or anything about it. No wonder your against Religion your a Jew,you WERE God’s Chosen People and all you did was deny him, and then you wonder why the Holocaust happened?!? HUMMM….I think if you told a second grader the facts on this he could tell you exactly why it happened! Sorry to bother you with my EXTREMIST views……ohh and by the way my subject for this email was a little off but I thought it was the only way you could take time “from your busy day” to read it.

Dear (name withheld)
Thanks for your letter to MRFF. We are always interested in comments from the general public.
It is interesting to note that you feel MRFF is being underhanded about religion in the Military, yet you employ trickery to get us to read your e-mail. Is this not a double standard?
Secondly, Bible Verses dealing exclusively with Christian scripture imprinted on military gun sights indicate to thinking people that soldiers equipped with rifles on which these sights are mounted are killing their enemies for religious reasons instead of terrorist acts committed against America and thus it becomes a global war on Islam, indeed a crusade, rather than a global war on Terrorism.
The fact that the Biblical Verses were not noticed for some time is due to their being cleverly worked into the serial numbers, a clear sign that the manufacturer knew that what he was doing was illegal and unconstitutional. So it matters not whether the offense is blatant or masked in some fashion, the intent and not the size of the display remains the issue.
It doesn’t take a Nuclear Physicist to figure out that having a religious reference on our currency and coinage does not mean that non-religious people can’t spend it. But many religious folks, especially of the Christian Dominionist persuasion, find it necessary to validate their beliefs by requiring some form of religious supremacy to be foisted on others. Religious declarations on currency and in our pledge of allegiance are only two examples of this need to validate one’s faith.
Assuming you are correct, we are glad that 76% of Americans pray for our troops every day. We would encourage this kind of support for our military. It is only when our young men and women in the armed forces are required, through some coercive process or another, to participate in sectarian Christian ritual, ceremony or service that the MRFF seeks to intercede and protect them and their constitutional rights against religious hegemony. MRFF’s goal is not to take religion out of the military but rather to guarantee that all our young military men and women may practice their individual religious or non-religious beliefs free of coercion to do otherwise. Efforts to require single religion belief or practice in the armed forces and other government venues are illegal. Your statement about Jews is exemplary of the problems inherent in Christian Dominionism. There is a warped sense of supremacy to your remarks which closely parallel the very things we are trying to correct in the armed forces. Your utter disregard for the Jewish people and accusations that they brought dreadful things such as the Holocaust upon themselves is at once unAmerican and ignorant beyond comprehension. You mentioned that a second grader could elucidate on the Jewish people and terrible things that befell them. Frankly I thought your letter was from a second grader. Your extremist views and lack of coherent thought are protected under our constitution, extremist acts are not.
Your views result from religious indoctrination and a desperate need for your beliefs to be correct, unique and dominant. You must remember that America is a pluralistic, secular nation, in which all religions and non-religious beliefs may flourish but none dominate. Your beliefs system is but one of many in America, all equal under the law and protected by the US Constitution. None has more validity or power under law than another, irrespective of its majority. It seems to me that you are the best example I could have made about the type of overbearing religious adherent we encounter in the military and in many other facets of society. So carefully review what you have written here and ask yourself how you would feel if someone wrote such an excoriating, callous and misguided missive to you. I would recommend that you expand your rather narrow views and rejoin America’s vast majority of tolerant, caring and giving people. The name (withheld) appears quite apros pos for you as it seems you have clouded the beauty and comfort of religion just as many Muslims that we now face in conflict have clouded the truth of Islam. You have sullied your beliefs and made them aggressive and unilateral. In that regard you dishonor the many thousands of young troops who suffer this very day under misguided and coercive Christian proselytizing. May I suggest that a review of your misguided and uninformed notions and your return to some semblance of objective thought be undertaken ?

Dear (name withheld)
I am a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We welcome and read comments from our readers because we live in the “Land of the free and the home of the brave”. We fight for our rights and freedoms under the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, especially those of speech and religion. You’re deceptive subject line was not necessary. In God’s eyes you lied.
You say that 76% of our country is Christian and 76% of the country prays everyday. This is misleading. 100% of the Christians do not pray everyday. If half of them pray it would be an over estimate.
No one has the right to say to another person that they do not deserve to live in the United States because they do not believe the way you do. No one. This country was built on immigrants from every country with different cultures and religions in an atmosphere of tolerance. The fact that you believe its ok to have Christian scripture on scopes shows your ignorance towards the makeup of the military. There are all kinds of different religious and atheist soldiers who are willing to put their lives on the line for the freedom America grants us under the law. These soldiers should not be forced to kill the enemy under the guise of a Christian Crusade. We are not trying to take religion out of the military but to keep one religion from being the basic requirement to being a soldier for the United States .
As a minister I take offense at the insults you have thrown at Mikey Weinstein because he is Jewish.
The Christian faith is based on the Jewish religion. We are GRAFTED into the vine (Jews). If you don’t believe that then throw out the Old Testament. The Jewish people ARE STILL GOD’S CHOSEN PEOPLE. He’s not finished with them yet. The Jewish people have rejected Jesus are their Messiah in order for us to be grafted in. Now is the time for the gentiles to believe in their God. And don’t say that their God is not our God for in Genesis it says “In the beginning, God (plural for the trinity). Imagine if they did accept him. Where would you be? Lost!
Jesus was sent to earth to die for our sins. The night before His crucifixion He was in the Garden of Gethsemane praying to the Father that if it was possible to take this cup away from Him. The Father did not. The Father could have stopped it but it was the Father’s will that Jesus died. If you have a problem with how Jesus died…take it up with the Father! Your lack of knowledge of the holocaust is astounding! 17 million people were killed in the holocaust of which 6 million were Jews. They went after the intelligent people, the rich people, those not of the Aryan Race, the mentally and physically disabled and anyone of an inferior nature. They went after the Poles (2 million gentiles), Soviet prisoners of war, Romanies or gypsies, Africans, Asians, political dissidents, etc. So, almost two-thirds of those killed in the holocaust were non-Jews!
Hitler was backed by the Christians (Catholic and Protestant) in Germany and relied on Martin Luther’s teachings. Martin Luther was the biggest anti-Semitic for his time. Here are some of his writings. Space does not allow me to write the whole thought for each number and you will have to Google Martin Luther and the Jews to get the full scope of what he is saying. Martin Luther’s writings on the Jews-
First to set fire to their synagogues or schools and to bury and cover with dirt whatever will not burn, so that no man will ever again see a stone or cinder of them.
Second, I advise that their houses also be razed and destroyed.
Third, I advise that all their prayer books and Talmudic writings, in which such idolatry, lies, cursing and blasphemy are taught, be taken from them.
Fourth, I advise that their rabbis be forbidden to teach henceforth on pain of loss of life and limb.
Fifth, I advise that safe conduct on the highways be abolished completely for the Jews. For they have no business in the countryside.
Sixth, I advise that usury be prohibited to them and that all cash and treasure of silver and gold be taken from them and put aside for safekeeping.
Seventh, I commend putting a flail, an ax, a hoe, a spade, a distaff, or a spindle into the hands of young, strong Jews and Jewesses and letting them earn their bread in the sweat of their brow, as was imposed on the children of Adam (Gen 3[:19]}.
o who is responsible for the holocaust???? CHRISTIANS!!!!!!! You don’t believe this? Then Google Hitler and Christians and Hitler and Martin Luther. You need to abandon your extreme Christianity and any teachings from Martin Luther. For you have an unforgiving heart and God says if you don’t forgive others, He won’t forgive you! You may not realize this until one split second after you die. Then it’s too late.
