The ones who show “amazing courage” MIKEY are the service men and women who are away from home and family now in harms way. Why don’t you praise them and wish them a happy Fourth of July. Oh and why don’t you say something about the 250th anniversary of this great nation UNDER GOD
Old Soldier, the reason Mikey didn’t publicly praise service members or say anything about the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence just MIGHT be that these have NOTHING to do with the mission of MRFF.
Two other things . . . first, what have YOU done to publicly praise our brothers and sisters in service? Second, you DO know that our country has NEVER been “UNDER GOD”, don’t you? That the phrase was added to the Pledge of Allegiance during the Cold War — and that Baptist Minister Francis Bellamy wrote the Pledge with NO MENTION of God?
Hey JP wishing our service members well and thanking them for all they do may not have anything to do with the MRFF’s “Mission” but it’s the good decent right thing to do
So, Old Soldier . . . this is your response to the question about what you’ve done to publicly praise our brothers and sisters in arms?
As to MRFF doing the same, in what forum would you expect that praise to be sung? Where should MRFF announce their admiration for members of the armed forces?
JP, are you also the guy who wonders out loud, usually loud, why there’s no White History Month? Have you refreshed the “All Lives Matter” sticker on your pickup?
Gino Herron – what in the wide world of sports are you talking about? JP is a good guy, a friend of the site.
The questions he asks of the old fart (won’t call him a soldier because A. he’s violated his oath of office and B. he maligned the service of another service critter therefore he doesn’t need said honorifics until he’s made amends) are real questions all of here at Casa MRFF have posed to the old fart in one shape or another for years.
Yep, it’s been that long JP although it just feels like yesterday. Time really does fly when you are with those whose company you enjoy.
old fart comes into this site every holiday and chastises Mikey specifically and the MRFF in general because they aren’t acting as the old fart demands. Highly disrespectful in my opinion but free will and all that.
As I see it Gino, our trolls are not subtle. Oh, they think they are all that and a bag of chips but to me they appear more as toddlers trying to hide the bag of cookies they “found” behind their back but the family dog is “helping” them by sticking their nose in the bag because the kid wasn’t sharing fast enough.
Others views will vary but that’s my take.

Please accept my apologies for missing the train a bit this last week. I hadn’t seen any new posts when I’ve visited the MRFF site lately. So let me go back a few days to Gino Herron’s first questions . . . .
Gino, I earned a BA in History back in 1998. In the process, I learned that there’s no “White History Month” because the American History typically taught IS white history. If we want to move beyond the Great White “Manifest Destiny” idea, we have to make conscious and conscientious efforts to reflect the true, diverse histories of the USA. THEN we can create visions of American futures that bring us closer to the values embodied in our Constitution.
And in such futures, ALL lives DO matter!
Grey One, I really appreciate your comments here! There’s one thing you mentioned that I really feel we should take advantage of — trolls. If you’ve been following British politics at all, you have to admire the way Brits love to “take the mick” — especially when someone like Nigel Farage gives them the opportunity to troll The Establishment. So enter Count Binface! The fact that Reform have spent so much time and energy treating Count Binface as a serious candidate actually DE-legitimizes Farage in the eyes of the British public. What I want to know is how we Americans can do the same here. I’ve got some ideas, but I don’t know how to get enough people interested to make them happen.
As for the “All Lives Matter” sticker on my pickup truck . . . I’d have to HAVE a pickup truck first! And as much as I love looking over the stickers on other people’s vehicles, my wife doesn’t. Having made it through 42 years of marriage, I’ve learned to respect her taste in such things!
The current vermin that inhabit the oval office would like to see only straight white christian males filling out the ranks. According to them Women are nothing more than a way to procreate. People of color? Oh we can’t have that. The history of those people and women are not important and need to be erased. As I’ve told many people they should go to the US Holocaust Museum website and look at the propaganda and media section about how Nazi Germany was able to turn blind eyes to what was going on. How to dehumanize people. What they did in the 1930’s is exactly what the vermin are doing now. Interestingly my cousin helped capture Arthur Axmann who was the head of Hitler Youth. There’s a book written about his capture. How they the Nazi’s who escaped were going to raise the 4th Reich. Its happening now here in the US. How they would come and start by being teachers, school board members and slowly create it. Though history says the 4th Reich never was created I say it was created and here in this country.
