Weinstein,

Thank you for putting another nail in the coffin of the United States. You are having your fifteen minutes of fame by your outrageous action and the politically correct military caved, but I am not surprised at anything that comes out of the current Administration. I am certain your efforts are endorsed by the American Criminal Lobby Union (ACLU).

I know this offends you, but do not care, “God help us”!

Hi (name withheld),

As you might imagine, Mr. Weinstein is up to his scuppers right now. I hope you don’t mind me sitting in for him since we share many of the same thoughts relative to religious freedom in the military.

First let me thank you for your service to America. I’m a former Air Force Officer, Rescue Pilot and Vietnam vet so we have our service in common.

I’m afraid your remark about putting another nail in the coffin of the United States is misplaced. MRFF’s actions are to specifically put another nail, hopefully the final nail, in command centered, coercive Christian proselytizing in the armed forces.

The Supreme Court has held that government officials, including the military, in the course of their duties may not favor, elevate, prefer or recommend one religion over another nor religion over non-religion {Lemon Vs. Kurzman 1971}.

The exclusive use of Christian based scripture and doctrine in a government training program violates constitutional provision and is the true outrage.

But this is merely the tip of the iceberg. Christian Dominionists, a growing extremist Christian movement has infiltrated the military and are engaged in attempting to co-opt our command and control systems in order to form a Christian fighting force that can deploy and operate weapons of immense destructive power to facilitate world wide conversions to Christianity.

Dominionist organizations such as Campus Crusade for Christ Military Mission, The Navigators, Officer’s Christian Fellowship, Focus on the Family and others are focusing on our service academies, military training facilities and even combat zones.

MRFF is currently addressing over 23,000 calls and letters of complaint from our young men and women in the armed forces dealing with unwanted and coercive Christian proselytizing.

It is likely that you would be outraged if the military installed an exclusive training program based on Islamic principal and Martyrdom.

Let’s work to keep freedom of religion in the military by maintaining a religion neutral government and armed forces.

Our constitution is the hallmark of a pluralistic, secular nation in which all religions and non-beliefs may flourish but none dominate. We must preserve it at all costs lest we fall, as have so many other nations, to unilateral religious control.

Again, thank you for your service.

You are encouraged to google “Dominion Christianity” to get a full picture of this dangerous movement and to join us at militaryreligiousfreedom.org for some eye-opening information.

I am far more concerned about the likes of you and the ACLU than I am those who belong to the organizations you mentioned!

Thanks for your reply (name withheld).

We must agree to disagree. I respect your opinion but I’m afraid you are a Christian supremacist instead of a pluralistic American. Religious hegemony never has worked.

It’s a little scary to have someone expose the chinks in Christian Dominionism’s armor. I suppose after years of one sided religious indoctrination one could get a little blustery about someone criticizing it.

In any case we wish you and your family well and hope you live a long and healthy life.

Cheers,

Rick
