I posted part of this on the Christian Post:
I cannot imagine a Minutemen, Continental Army, or Loyalist Bible; a States ’ Rights, Confederate States or Copperhead Bible; a Bible of the Armies & Navies of Confederate or Union States; Bibles of German, Austro-Hungarian, Ottoman, Russian, British Empires, the French Republic, Italy, the Kingdom of Serbia, as well as of the Allied or Axis Powers.
In times past it seems that Americans had more respect for whatever God they chose to believe (or not believe) in than to burn the brand of their self-image onto what they proclaim to be the very Word of that God.
It seems to me that the Southern Baptist Convention, its publisher et al demonstrate little regard for the sanctity of their Scripture& without a second thought would impress a single religious world view on the Constitution of the United States of America—after all, they have eagerly sought undue influence over the Armed Forces whose duty it is to defend that Constitution.
