Michael Weinstein of MFRR: You and your foundation are the largest threat to America. And it’s historic and most important national Christian faith. My family and I and our church and pastor take happiness in knowing what Jesus will be doing to you and your family and followers of the darkness. As he will disembowel the antichrist and his evil legions, Christ will rip out your guts and the innards of your wife. And of your children and followers and worshipers of your dark path. Your spent entrails will pave the path for his Kingdom of Peace to come forever. This is your purpose. And what your inherit and deserve.

A response to the above hate-mail from Rick Baker

Dear (name withheld),

I have had the opportunity to read your E-mail to Mr. Weinstein.

I was horrified. After reading it I could only conclude that the biggest threat to America is not Mr. Weinstein. The biggest threat is religious ignorance. Judging from your letter you have achieved total religious ignorance.

Just from your e-mail alone it is easy to see how low you are on the human scale, if in fact you are actually on the human scale.

Your vicious and domineering attitude identifies you in the same company as Rev. Jim Jones, David Koresh, Rev. Sun Myung Moon and a host of other mentally disturbed persons who use religion like a club with which to beat others on the head.

Nothing could be less Christian than your call on Christ to “Tear out Mr. Weinstein’s and his families guts.” By this monstrous request you demonstrate your lack of humanity and your descent into the pool of total degradation. In the process it seems Christ has torn out your brain, for you have become an unthinking animal operating on instinct alone.

You have become a classic brute on the order of Goliath waiting for someone to unleash his sling sending a missile of enlightenment winging to your forehead. Unfortunately I doubt whether any message could penetrate your thick skull formed over the years by incessant dark religious indoctrination.

You serve no legitimate purpose in life and although I have long thought that everyone was worthy of redemption, I see now that I was wrong. The only way you can assist humanity at all is to serve as a bad example.

Another response to the original hate-mail “Jesus is Going to Rip Your Guts Out”

To whom it may concern,

Mr. Weinstein shared your email with me in hopes that I may be able to put some perspective on the matter.
To sort of set the background for you, I’m a soldier in the Army National Guard and a veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom 2010. I served in Southern Parwan Province, Afghanistan in 2010 as an infantryman with the 1/172nd Cavalry.

That being said, I’m also a Jew. A Messianic Jew. Growing up I had a Jewish father and Christian mother. I believe that you have grossly misinterpreted Mr. Weinsteins intentions and objectives for the MRFF. Mr. Weinstein in no way, shape, or form wishes to remove religion from the U.S. Armed Forces. His desire is to ensure the all Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines who protect our nation and our rights, have the ability to practice whatever religious beliefs they choose. MRFF fights to ensure that no single religion takes precedence over others and that no commander or senior NCO can ever use their personal religious beliefs to influence others either through manipulation, intimidation, or through showing favoritism.

Now, referencing your email, to be quite honest, you sound almost no different than the fundamentalist Islamic extremists we’ve been fighting for more than a decade. The level of depravity and utter ignorance in your email parallels that of the religious extremists who have threatened our freedom and our lives. You seem to be extremely miss lead. America is not a “Christian” nation. We never have been, we never will be. America was founded by Free Masons. A fraternal order of men who believe in a higher being (the nature of which is up to each member to choose so long as they live and uphold a life of good morals). America was also founded on the principle that all people have the right to believe what they want to believe and practice whatever religion they so choose. Anything different is comparable to Afghanistan when it was run by the Taliban where anyone who didn’t believe what they believed was publicly stoned.

Now I ask you, hypothetically speaking here. What kind of believer does God value more? A believer that’s forced at gunpoint to give an admission of faith for fear of death? Or a believer motivated by a personal conviction who chooses, on their own free will, to accept Christ?

By giving precedence to any one religion (Christian or otherwise), by punishing or condemning those that choose not to believe one particular faith, or by granting favor to those of the same faith solely on those grounds is not only detrimental to the good order and discipline of the Armed Forces, it’s unconstitutional, and it violated the personal right of free choice that God gifted every man with.

I ask you, as a fellow believer, to re-exam your opinions and prejudices. I ask that if you consider yourself a good American and if you truly respect the sacrifices our service men and women have made, that you will also respect our right to practice whatever religion we choose. I leave you with this quote by John Diefenbaker, “Freedom is the right to be wrong, not the right to do wrong.” If you truly feel that it is acceptable to infringe on the rights that both God and the U.S. Constitution has granted every man, woman, and child in our nation, my only recommendation is that you find another religion to practice, and move to another country. Perhaps another planet. Frankly, risking my life for people like you doesn’t leave me with a warm fuzzy feeling and I would be reluctant to have to do it again.

Stay classy!

To the oh-so-not-brave “Christian” talking about Jesus ripping guts to pave the way to his “Kingdom of Peace”….wow, I had no idea that Christ was a Klingon.

Pretty sure theirs was the only definition of peace that meant “no enemies left to kill.” And oddly, MY study of the Bible included a peaceful Jesus, who chided a follower for injuring one of the arresting officers who came to get him.

I have to say, if this Dark Christ you worship ever comes; it is HE who will be fit to wear the title of “Anti-Christ”….and I will be happy to be on the side of right and justice with Mike and the Military Religious Freedom Foundation. Oh, and just a wee history note —there is NO “national” faith; that very concept is forbidden by the Constitution.

In the words of Thomas Jefferson:
“But it does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are twenty gods or no God. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg.”–Thomas Jefferson

In the words of Barry Goldwater:
“Mark my word, if and when these preachers get control of the [Republican] party, and they’re sure trying to do so, it’s going to be a terrible damn problem. Frankly, these people frighten me. Politics and governing demand compromise. But these Christians believe they are acting in the name of God, so they can’t and won’t compromise. I know, I’ve tried to deal with them.”
    and
“The religious factions that are growing throughout our land are not using their religious clout with wisdom…. I’m frankly sick and tired of the political preachers across this country telling me as a citizen that if I want to be a moral person, I must believe in ‘A,’ ‘B,’ ‘C,’ and ‘D.’ Just who do they think they are?… I will fight them every step of the way if they try to dictate their moral convictions to all Americans in the name of “conservatism.” “
