Mr Weinstein,

I want to let you know that I do not agree with you trying to shut down religion in our military.

I have two sons who served in our military. One served in the US Army and the other in the US Marines. My son who served in the US Marines saw 11 men in his unit killed. He survived by his (and mine) religious beliefs. There were many, many that survived by their beliefs. They came back to Camp Pendleton and made their trek to the cross on the mountain to pay their respects and get relief up there by the cross. It made many before my son and I am sure many afterwards. That cross meant very much to ALL that were stationed at Camp Pendelton regardless of their religious beliefs. It is a symbol for all!

Please stop you assault on our military men and women. You did NOT serve in a war zone and you do NOT know what it is like to serve there. Our men and women need their beliefs and should not be afraid of their beliefs because of organizations like yours. You should mind your buisness when it comes to our military men and women since you do not know what is good for them. THEY only know what is good for them and what makes them be able to continue and wake up each day to horrific conditions.

My son came home to me when some of his buddies did not. He carries that with him each and everyday of his life. I know that this is something that has become the fabric of his life. He would not be with me without his religious beliefs and him being not afraid to trust his heart and soul to our lord.

Sincerely,

Dear (name withheld),

MRFF has no intention of shutting religion down in the armed forces.

An emerging sect of militant and aggressive Christians known as “Dominion Christians” has been infiltrating our armed forces and officers belonging to this group have been directing command centered and coercive Christian-Based proselytizing at our young men and women in the military.

We are currently addressing over 30,000 complaints from these young men and women who have found themselves in the grip of superiors who can make their lives miserable and ruin their careers if they don’t respond favorably to this proselytizing.

I am a former Air Force officer and rescue pilot, having served two combat tours in Vietnam. I can completely understand the feelings of your sons for buddies who were killed and also for embracing their religious beliefs. MRFF’s primary mission is to ensure the freedom of religion guaranteed by the constitution. In order to do so we must interdict the Dominionists and get them out of the military.

It is easy to mistake our criticisms of Dominionist Christians for all Christians but don’t be fooled. Any criticisms we make of Christian activity in the military is directed at that
traitorous sect of Dominionist Christians.

Please visit our web-site for more information about us and what we do. It will help calm your fears about us. militaryreligiousfreedom.org.

Also please extend my gratitude to your sons for their service to America. And I know it is not easy to be a military mother as my mother had a husband and four sons on active military duty at one time.
