Dear Mikey,

I read with interest the article which appears on the Breitbart web site under the following address:

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2013/06/02/Pentagon-Denies-Relationship-with-Anti-Christian-Extremist-But-Instantly-Complies-with-His-Demands

Mikey, you need to experience God’s love, for every living being as he created each and every one. That includes you. You cannot experience the true meaning of life till you realize and experiences the love of God. Until that time you will continue your bullying ways, trying to disrupt and deny the freedom of those who know or who are yet searching for meaning in their lives. Mikey, I expect that thousands that have read this article and will pray for your such that you may realize and experience the love that passes all understanding:

Philippians 4:7 New Living Translation (©2007)
Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

Mikey, may you overcome your bitterness.

I’ll be praying for you.

Blessings,

Dear (name withheld),

Thank you for taking the time to write to the MRFF and for showing what seems to be genuine concern for our President’s well-being.

It seems, however, that you have fallen prey to deceitful media. Mikey is neither a bully nor someone who would “disrupt and deny the freedom” of anyone, unless the freedom they are exercising comes at the expense, insult, degradation, marginalization or abuse of another. It’s great that you find comfort in your religion. Really, it doesn’t bother me in the slightest, and it certainly wouldn’t bother Mikey either. Our issue isn’t with people following their religion, it’s people forcing others to conform to their religion. Branding our public buildings with christian artwork (btw, did you know that it was an image of a crusader? not exactly representing the faith well…) is an expression of Christian supremacy. We are a pluralistic society and our military men and women deserve to be recognized as the defenders of our country without being labeled uniformly as Christian crusaders.

Hope this clears things up for you.

Cheers,
