- Mikey Weinstein, the outspoken activist who says military personnel face coercion from some Christian fundamentalists, will speak Monday at the College of William and Mary.
Weinstein is president of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, which sees its mission as maintaining the wall separating church and state in the U.S. military. It is a role that has earned Weinstein both praise and criticism.
- In 2010, he found himself at the center of a dispute at Fort Eustis in Newport News, when three soldiers said they were ordered to clean up their barracks after opting not to attend a Christian rock concert on post.
