How can you attack and discredit the things of God when you don’t believe in GOD, That is soooo!!! stupid and ignorant?? and you people are probably educated.
please tell me how you can disagree with something you don’t believe in?? I don’t believe in Santa Claus so it does not bother me!! and I don’t go around asking people to take down Santa Claus, let them do what they want its not bothering me, Let people believe what they want to believe, not everybody wants to be as you are. We still have the freedom to choose! I guess you people have lots of money and time that you don’t know what to do with it?? Get a life?!?!? don’t impose your misery on others!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

mind your own business
Dear Apoplectic Borderline-Illiterate Detractor,
We at the Military Religious Freedom Foundation appreciate you taking the time out of your day to write us and are very happy to know that you recognize our mostly volunteer staff is better educated than you. I find it odd however that you would conflate advanced education with ignorance, since one by definition negates the other.
I do hope that you don’t suffer an aneurysm while reading this, so please do sit down and pour yourself a nice soothing cup of tea or something of the like. With your chaotic ad hominem diatribe I would venture to guess you have an unhealthy blood pressure.
Alright, now that your settled, MRFF does not attack the things of God, and since the majority of our staff consists of believers along with the overwhelming majority of our clients, your questions are largely invalid. Any claim based on a faulty premise is an invalid claim.
We encourage people to believe as they want to believe and be unlike us. What we do take issue with is the use of government issued authority to promulgate religious beliefs of any sort. Now, I know that you’ve been watching Fox a lot lately, so you probably don’t know what the word secular actually means (from what I’ve heard they tend to argue that secular means of or related to the worship of satan and sodomy, or something similar…). In reality, secular simply means not involved with religion. So a secular government would be one that doesn’t meddle with religion, or push it onto others.
For an example, an atheist government (not secular, something we’re vehemently opposed to) would print “There is absolutely no god or gods” on its currency. A secular government would print nothing affirming or decrying religious principles. A theocratic government would print something like “One nation under Zeus” on its currency. It’s not a fine distinction whatsoever, but it is one that is willfully ignored by theocrats and intellectual children.
Our mission at MRFF is to uphold the Constitution wherever we can in the defense of the secular government we were bestowed by the founders of this country. If you’re still confused you may need to take a field trip to your local elementary school to sit in on their 5th grade civics lessons. I’m sure the principle could work out some sort of a pass for your edification.
Warmest regards,

Coming from a person who does not sign his/her e-mail, your calling us stupid and ignorant is meaningless. We have no desire to attack or discredit God or religion. We are only against those who would force their belief system on others including military subordinates.
When you see an action by MRFF, you will note that we take to task only those who would in some way affect subordinates beliefs systems by coercion. It is a classic method of proselytizing applied for centuries.
It appears that you have been erroneously judgmental.

Dear MYOB,
If “stupid and ignorant” apply, in your mind, to people who do things that don’t make sense, should it apply in turn to those who don’t know what they’re talking about?
You see, you begin from the incorrect assumption that people in the MRFF don’t believe in God. Certainly, making “stupid and ignorant” assumptions is one thing. People are often mistaken about things they don’t fully understand. But most people are smart enough to avoid launching emotional attacks on those they don’t know based on false premises. Because they know to do so makes them look “stupid and ignorant.”
So try that on for a minute. And if, once you’re read what follows, you’d like to send an apology, it would be welcomed.
The MRFF is made up of people of all faiths and no faith, 95% of whom are Christians. Some of them are Christian clergy. We enjoy the company of leaders of other faiths as well. And we happily welcome those of no faith. The sole concern of the organization is to protect the right of freedom of religious choice of the women and men in the military. Based on the legal framework that defines the separation of church and state, our organization is protecting our service members from those who would, in violation of the Constitution, push a religious belief on them by associating our government with it.
We do not oppose God or religion or any belief system a person wants to embrace. That’s up to him or her. But the government of the United States, and that includes any arm of it, cannot and should not be showing, stating or implying a preference of one religious belief system over another.
So you see, people in this country are free to believe as they choose. That’s the way it was intended to be and that’s the way it is, but some folks don’t get the message. They assume that it’s OK to push a particular faith on others because they’re convinced theirs is the ONLY correct one. We say no. The women and men in the military swear to uphold the Constitution and the laws of this country, they don’t swear to fight for God. If they choose to hold that belief privately, that’s their privilege, but it can’t be pushed on others who may have a different perspective.
I hope this helps. As you said above, “Let people believe what they want to believe.” I couldn’t have said it better myself. Unfortunately, you didn’t realize who you were talking to.
Best,
Mike Farrell
