We get a good chuckle when anyone writes to us stating that Mikey has a title and position with President Obama concerning religious tolerance in our military. There is no such office (title and position) created by the White House and Mikey has never received a paycheck. You’ve been lied to.

The last time Mikey ever held a ‘title and position’ by a President was  working for over three years in, and for, the West Wing of the Reagan Administration as legal counsel in the White House. In his final position there, Mikey was named the Committee Management Officer of the much-publicized Iran-Contra Investigation in his capacity as Assistant General Counsel of The White House Office of Administration, Executive Office of the President of the United States.

I see that you don’t know that 75% percent of the Board, Advisory Board, volunteers and supporters with MRFF are Christians and 96% of our 40,600+ soldier clients (1 can represent 50 and 1 represents 100) are Christians. We fight for the rights of Christians more than anyone else but you won’t hear that because that wouldn’t rile you up to the point of attacking us.

The only ‘title and position’ we fight for is the First Amendment to the Constitution:

The Establishment Clause comes before the Free Exercise Clause for a reason; the Free Exercise Clause is subservient to the Establishment Clause – not the other way around as some Christians would like it to be.

The Supreme Court heard the Lemon v. Kurtzman case in 1971 and ruled in favor of the Establishment Clause.

Subsequent to this decision, the Supreme Court has applied a three-pronged test to determine whether government action comports with the Establishment Clause, known as the Lemon Test.

The Parker v. Levy case, decided on June 19, 1974, defined under the Uniform Code of Military Justice that “the military constitutes a specialized community governed by a separate discipline from that of the civilian…”

Our soldiers take the oath of enlistment to uphold the Constitution – not the Bible.

Our military is secular and must remain that way. Any person, who wants to defend our country against all enemies foreign and domestic, is free to do so regardless of their religious beliefs or non-belief in a deity.

We are constantly labeled as “atheists”, “liberals” and “left wing” which are lies. We are apolitical.

We are neither anti-God nor anti-Christian. Mikey is NOT an atheist but Jewish and prays 3 times a day to the same Father we do. Another lie you’ve been told.

What we do fight against are the Dominionist Christians (google it) that have hijacked our military – all the way to the Pentagon – who believe that we are a Christian military, all of our wars are Crusades (Bush let that one slip) and that they must cleanse the world of all Christians that are ‘not the right kind’ or not ‘Christian enough’, non-Christians and non-believers, so that Jesus can come back and rule for 1,000 years. This is pre-millennialism and throws out the book of Revelations that states that Jesus will come back with His heavenly army, subdue the earth and THEN rule for 1,000.

I doubt you will be in Bonnie Weinstein’s next book edition of the hate mail and death threats that Mikey and MRFF receive because you can at least spell correctly. But, I can guarantee you that your email will go out in a world-wide email blast from MRFF because we send everyone one of them out. We have liaisons on almost every base and volunteers and supporters around the globe. You will be famous.

You are following liars. They have been told the truth but refuse to acknowledge it.

Thanks for writing to the MRFF.  Mikey Weinstein has read your note and asked if I would be interested in responding to you.  I’m a Christian and USAF veteran who supports the MRFF in a volunteer capacity.  I’d like to take a moment to do two things.  First, to clear up a misconception that you apparently hold… and second, to describe what the MRFF actually is all about (and by extension, why it is that I can be both a Christian and an MRFF supporter).

First, to your misconception — you seem to think that Mikey specifically, or MRFF generally, has some official role within the current Administration. This is not the case.  MRFF was founded by Mikey about ten years ago (which was actually during the presidency of George W Bush).  We are an independent, pro-Constitution group that advocates for the right to religious freedom of all members of the US armed forces. Nether Mikey nor anyone else associated with the MRFF has any sort of position within President Obama’s administration, so when he is not longer President after 2016 there will be no direct impact on the MRFF.

Second, as to what MRFF is really about —   we are dedicated to ensuring that all members of the United States Armed Forces fully receive the Constitutional guarantees of religious freedom to which they and all Americans are entitled by virtue of the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment. The key words in that mission statement are ALL MEMBERS.  That means that we support the rights of Christians to hold Christian beliefs… and Jews to hold Jewish beliefs… and Muslims to hold Muslim beliefs… and for military members to hold any other conceivable religious belief (including the right to unbelief).  And that also means that we oppose efforts by any particular group, even if it happens to be my fellow Christians, to seek prominence or favoritism for any particular sectarian belief.

So if you’ve read about some of the choice words that Mikey has had for the small segment of Christians who seek to give their version of Christianity dominance and dominion over the US military, don’t be confused — he is not talking about all Christians.  He is only talking about the Dominionists who would trample the Constitutional rights of military members who don’t believe as they believe… and he is entirely justified in doing so because that sort of sectarian agenda has no place in the US military.

On the other hand, if you are like me and you cherish your Christian faith, yet at the same time understand that America is a pluralistic society composed of good, honorable people of many religious beliefs (including non-belief)… and if you agree that all citizens are entitled to the same degree of religious freedom… and if you further agree that US military members are included among those citizens with a right to that degree of freedom… then don’t fret, Mikey is not talking about you or me.  And as a Christian, I think it is important that to provide correction to fellow Christians who would disrespect the rights of others in such a way — that is why I support the efforts of MRFF.

From what I read Mikey is very ANTI Christian .. not at all freedom of religion but freedom from religion.

It doesn’t matter what fine words you use.  It matters what you do and Mikey has not proven himself to act as a Christian but Anti Christian and not so much freedom of relgion of as freedom from Christianity in every possible form.

  “You are not only demeaning and judging Mikey but also we Christians that work for him. We are not anti-Christian ‘in every possible form’ but support          freedom of         religion according to the proper place, manner and time in the military UNDER THE CONSTITUTION, case law and military law.”

I pray God repays Mikey and all who support him according to your works.

We are obeying God by forcing our military to follow our Constitutional Laws. You, on the other hand, are not.

 

Jesus said “Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.” Matthew 7:1-2

 

“But I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the Day of Judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.” Matthew 12:36-37

 

“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray FOR (not against) those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.  If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that?  And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? (Matthew 5:43-48)

 

Jesus left His criteria for who is going to heaven and who is going to hell in Matthew 25:31-46. I suggest you read it before passing YOUR judgment on to others ever again.

 

It looks like you’re the one that is in a whole heap of trouble at the Judgment Seat of Christ.

I’m quite comfortable on where I stand with God and we’ll see what God has to say about people who upheld and supported lawbreakers like Hitler and Stalin and Obama at the judgment seat of Christ.  We already know our own forefathers stood against the tyranny of Britain and God blessed them for it.

LOL you’re concerned with spelling?  You’ll be concerned with much more than that unless you repent before that judgment seat.  Look around for me on that day.  I will be there watching.

As far as judging Christians?  1 Cor 5:12
For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge?

We are specifically to judge those who call themselves Christian but do not protect or uphold the words in the Bible they profess to believe.  No those people are called the dogs, the concision, the mutilation, the cutting or tearing away.  Those are the people who have a form of godliness, but deny the power thereof: from such turn away.  2 Timothy 3:5
