As a military veteran and Christian I think it’s a waste of time and energy for your organization to outright pursue the Air Force general on this issue.

The General had only expressed his own religious convictions and I don’t see when in his speech he was converting others or condemning non-christian believers.

Look I really have to point this out. I don’t wanna argue about what you believe or I believe that has nothing to do with the point of this.

This general believes what he believes. There is nothing wrong with what he believes. He is not forcing his beliefs on the men under his command. He isn’t making them join his faith. He is simply stating his own opinion publicly.

If this organization is truly about Religious Freedoms than you should be protecting this man.

Yes the United States is a “secular” nation if you had to describe it but that actually isn’t true. The former Soviet Union is what you would call a secular nation. They jailed anyone who claimed a certain faith. Religion was referred to as “the opium of the people” in Russia.

But the United States is a nation of many religions and many faiths. We are a Religious nation and we protect the rights of individuals to believe however they would like. This includes government officials and they may believe in whatever god they like. This general may speak his mind freely about how he believes and he may do it loudly and proudly. That is the point of the first amendment of the constitution.

Get your priorities straight. Pull the stick out of your ass about christian faith being favored in our country. It’s a very common belief in this country. Protect the first amendment. Don’t persecute people for their religious beliefs.
