Hi (name withheld),
Your view of the Iraqi soldiers, or at least what you have been told about them, is interesting. But it’s a poor basis on which to make the assertion you do here.

Since you apparently consider yourself a believer, I would assume God is already your copilot. If that’s the case, if God is always there for you, you don’t need to have your government break its own laws and violate its own constitution. As a believer I should think you’d know better than what you’ve postulated here.

It always amazes me when people who claim to be Christians have so little faith.

At any rate, your point is wasted. The Jesus Rifles are no more. Once responsible people in our military were informed of what had been done by a zealot who, like you, didn’t understand the ramifications of their existence, they went away.

Best,

Mike Farrell

There are stories in American military history where American soldiers threw away their weapons and ran away and their rifles did not have the word “Jesus” on them. Even if you have a Bible on your body, you think that is going to stop enemy bullets, mortar rounds, mines, grenades, artillery shells. bayonets, etc., from killing or wounding you? Furthermore, even though many of you believe in God, you still want a weapon on you. If you believe in God so much, then you should not need a weapon and put faith that God will protect you. Then again, if God decides its is your turn to die, then it is part of his plan and you have no say in the matter.
