Well, it’s October, and you know what that means – the War on Christmas has begun! Fox News has already announced the commencement of this year’s festivities, and will no doubt be among those valiant defenders of all things unconstitutionally Christmassy who will soon be firing shots at the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF). Why? Because we once again have a military command officially endorsing and promoting Franklin Graham’s Operation Christmas Child (OCC) and violating all sorts of military regulations to recruit shoebox-packing “missionaries.”

There is nothing wrong with Franklin Graham’s Operation Christmas Child and there is nothing wrong with military personnel help pack shoeboxes on their personal time.

Why are you being a Scrooge Chris? Never got what you wanted for Christmas, and why are you against third world children getting what may be their only Christmas gift?

    Merry Christmas!

    YW,

You have said you graduated from a prestigious school and even presented all of your accomplishments. Based on this comment (and others) reading comprehension is not on the list.

The only thing “wrong” with this situation was a person in the military using their official email and mailing list to promote a religious volunteer opportunity. To say MRFF and the fine folks who work with them believed otherwise is disingenuous,

Separate church and state as the founding fathers intended and there won’t be an issue. Oh – if you are going to state there is no church/state separation please provide at least as much documentation as the fine MRFF staff has done. And nothing based on David Barton please because then I’ll just have to unleash a bunch of Warren Throckmorton to counter.

YW, why did Newt Gingrich act like Scrooge when he shut down the federal government in from December 16, 1995, to January 6, 1996, for a total of 27 days? How many people had their Christmas wreck because of it?

Would about American kids who have not any Christmas presents because their parents are not making enough money to buy them or they have been homeless and/unemployed for a long time? It is about time charity beings at our home. These third world kids would get presents if the rich people and corporations would stop trying to keep them from being poor.
