    NO Tebow crap!

I’m a civilian, I have devoted many hours exposing these kind of efforts by so called Christians, and I believe what I’m observing is terrifying. Mikey has leveraged by his education and experience and deep involvement in the military been able to bring attention to and to ‘manage’ the outbreak in the military. I can find no one who appears interested in what I’m observing. This is the only venue that hasn’t manipulated my comments or censored what I say. I’ve invoked, and invoke, Anonymous to consider my opinion, and expose some of the media elements that have control of our discourse. I believe the President may consider bringing together religious leaders, government leaders, and constitutional scholars to discuss and act on what I consider a timeline that includes an insurrection that might influence the outcome of the Presidential election. I’d like to say years ago I called and talked to Mikey one night late, to ask him to consider doing for civilian life what he had begun regarding the Military. We desperately need a leader who understands the depth of the infection in our media and other influential areas our nation.

Sadly, President Clinton signed off on deregulating the number of TV and radio stations that a person/company could own and the end result that the media is controlled by wealthy people or corporations (including religious organizations).

“And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men”

To me, this means “Tebowing” is explicitly opposed by “Jesus of Nazareth”.

The more I follow this, the more I am convinced that fundamentalism is a psychiatric pathology.

I’d like to say “THANKS!” again to Mikey and the team for their great work.

Jesus never opposed praying in public, for He Himself prayed in public. He prayed to his Father while he was dying on a cross for you and me. Look who He was talking to in the verse above, He was talking to the religious leaders of the day, the Pharisees who wanted to be seen of men when they pray, He was not speaking to the general public. He also prayed in public when He lifted up the bread to bless it before feeding the 5000.

I would want every committed Christian to follow Tebow’s and Coach Kennedy’s example, for both men are men of great integrity and I applaud them for their commitment to Christ!!

Football players from pro to high school are taking a knee to pray at the 50 yard line all around the country, which is well within their Constitutional freedom of religion to do so! Bravo to these godly Air Force cadets!! May God bless the Air Force Academy!!

    Secularism is for grownups.

YM, do you think the Pharisees really care about whether Jesus pray for them or not?

  8. Yeshua Warrior

    G,

Jesus was not praying for the Pharisees, he was correcting them on their motive for praying!

If I may, let me inform MRFF and Mikey, taking a knee to pray did not begin with Tebow, he was only been doing what was first established in the NFL 25 years ago, when the 49ers played the NY Giants in a hard fought game when several of the 49ers went down to the 30 yard line and took a knee to pray when then several of the Giants players also took a knee and prayed with them. So, this circle of prayer has been happening for 25 years now!!

Also, taking a knee is not showing personal piety, but rather it is an act of worship and humbling and bowing oneself before God who is the giver of all gifts and talents and recognizing that He is the only one to be praised and worship on earth.

Whether Mikey or anyone else here likes it or not, one day all of mankind will have to take a knee and bow before Christ who is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords –

“By myself I have sworn; from my mouth has gone out in righteousness a word that shall not return: ‘To me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear allegiance.” – Isaiah 45:23.

“Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!” – Psalm 95:6

“so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” – Philippians 2:10-11.

Case settled – Mikey loses and God wins!!

Now if Mikey were a practicing Jew, he would know these Old Testament verses about bowing before God on our knees, but he is only Jewish when it serves his purposes and to cry anti-Semitism when there is none!!

Sigh! These folks do not understand the difference between endorsing a particular religion on a TAX SUPPORTED SITE and doing it on private property. Which in this glorious land we are totally free to do, as long as we don’t create a public nuisance.

I doubt if they will ever grasp the concept — or if they do, they feel free to break the law.
So using the law to quell their Jesus-ecstacy appears to be the only way. It’s hard work and we should be glad Mikey has picked up the flag and runs with it,

Incidentally, one of the, uh, commenters, attributed to his particular deity several quotations from the Hebrew Bible. It’s OK, guys, borrow it, but give proper credit!

Hypatia, may I make one correction, all the quotations are from the Hebrew bible. Every book of the bible was authored by someone Jewish except for Luke. The bible is not a Christian book, but it is completely Jewish in source and nature. Even Christianity came out of Judaism!

    Did I give proper credit?

I have made the photo of the cadets praying as my cover photo on my FB page to remind me to pray for them and that we still have freedom of religion in this country until all the libtards try to take it away!!

  13. G

YM, you think that Pharisees really care about Jesus correcting them?

  14. G

YM, it is guys like Mickey that ensure we have separation of church and state and that prevents you conservatards from eliminating that barrier.

“Whether Mikey or anyone else here likes it or not, one day all of mankind will have to take a knee and bow before Christ who is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords”

Once again YW, you are trying to impose one religion and/or a belief that there is a god on the rest of us.

God has not been winning so far gainst Mickey; otherwise, Mickey would have been put out of business a long time ago.

If the NFL players want to pray that is their own affair; however, the military is a different matter considering that they are supported by the taxpayers. Then again, maybe the taxpayers should have something to say about the NFL players since the public have been subsiding the NFL owners for many years and the NFL owners have not pay any kind of taxes at all.

“but he is only Jewish when it serves his purposes and to cry anti-Semitism when there is none!!”

Yeah YM, and the various Christian organizations and their leaders only preach Christian when it suits their purposes and to cry anti-Christianity when their dirty laundry have been exposed.
