When I saw this article I have to ask these questions!

First, why is a “former chaplain” complaining about these players praying on the field? Is not a chaplain supposed to encourage prayer? Could it be that she is still bitter about the Academy letting her go? Could it be that this chaplain is not truly saved according to scripture. There are many chaplains out there these days whether military, hospital, etc who have never surrendered their lives to Christ completely and become “born again.”!

Secondly, just by taking a look at her picture, I can only ascertain that she is a lesbian and it makes sense if she is that she is ordained by one of the more liberal heretical denominations today, the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, which allows gays to be ordained and members of the church. Not only is the ECLA liberal, heretical in it’s teachings, it is also very anti-Israel and anti-Zionist in calling for and joining in the boycott, divestment and sanctions of Israeli products! So, if she is indeed gay and anti-Zionist she has two strikes against her scripturally, for we all know that biblicaly no one can be gay and Christian, the two are diametrically opposed to each other. Also, scripture teaches that homosexuality is an abomination to God as noted in Leviticus 18, Romans 1, and 1 Corinthians 6, where the Apostle Paul states that homosexuals will have no share in the kingdom of God. If she also follows the teachings of her denomination regarding Israel, then she is also under the curse of God according to Genesis 12:3!

So, based on these probabilities, it makes sense why she would have a problem with evangelical Christians praying on the field, whereas, evangelical chaplains would find no problem with it and I am assured that the Academy will feel the same way.

If minister Morton would like to debate me theologically on my points above I welcome a hearty debate.

Where is your proof that she is a lesbian and even is she is one, what does have to do with the subject at hand?

I believe that the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America has a right to boycott, divestment and sanctions of Israeli products considering how the Israeli are treating the Palestinians.

She has a right to question things that are happening at the Academy and got fired for not toeing the party religious line unlike military people like Oliver North and Admiral Poindexter who obey illegal orders and then did not take their medicine like men or women.

If homosexuals have no place in the Kingdom of God, then why did God allow homosexuality to happen on Earth in the first place?

“If minister Morton would like to debate me theologically on my points above I welcome a hearty debate.”

You would probably get cream by Minister Morton, because you certainly couldn’t hold your own against Connie.

    G,

Oh really, how the Israeli’s are treating those poor whiney Palestinians whose government is run by Hamas whose charter is to wipe Israel and every Jew from the face of the earth. Maybe you should stop drinking the Palestinian kool-aid and notice who is shooting rockets at whom here. Israel is just taking it’s right to defend their land, country and people from annihilation. Have you seen how Palestinians treat their own people???, They use their children as human shields against Israeli tanks and troops. They fire their rockets at innocent Israeli civilians from school yards and hospitals and keep their armory in the basement of hospitals knowing that Israel will not bomb them.

The land of Israel belongs solely to the Jewish people by divine right when God gave the land to the descendants of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob as an everlasting covenant between God and them! There never has been and never will be a Palestinian people, they are all Jordanian Arabs!

Israel needs to annex the West Bank and Gaza and push Hamas and Palestinian Muslims who do not want to become Israeli citizens back into Jordan or the Med Sea.

YW, you need to stop drinking the Israeli kool-aid and start noticing on how the Israeli are stripping the Palestinians of even basic rights: http://www.annainthemiddleeast.com/

Where is your proof that the Palestinians are Jordanian Arabs considering that the state of Jordan never existed until after World War I? Palestinian Arabs were part of the Israel landscape long before Israel came into existence in 1948.

“The land of Israel belongs solely to the Jewish people by divine right when God gave the land to the descendants of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob as an everlasting covenant between God and them!”

Then explain why did the Israelis had left their homeland to resided in Egypt and stay there for a long time until Moses was told by God to take them back home? From what I heard, they left because they got tired of the famine and drought in their country and settle in the area of Goshen. If God wanted his chosen people to stay, then he should have prevented the drought and famine from occurring. I guess the Israelis were not professing Jews.

‘Israel needs to annex the West Bank and Gaza and push Hamas and Palestinian Muslims who do not want to become Israeli citizens back into Jordan or the Med Sea.”

You and your ink are no better than the Nazis and Americans who stated that the only good Indian is a dead one or the priest who in the Inquisition said to kill everyone and sort it out later.

YW – you really can’t help yourself, can you?

A couple of points and then I’m going to snuggle with my puppies. They, unlike you, understand unconditional love.

You look at a picture and the adjectives you decided to let loose in the interwebz are bitter, lesbian, not a true christian, and certainly not saved – not being a lesbian and all…

First – God made gay, not that Rev Morton’s sexuality is in question here. However, you stated a person can not be gay and christian. SHUT YOUR TINY MIND UP because you don’t know. No debate. You are wrong.

Second – you question Rev Morton’s calling. How dare you question a person’s relationship with their saviour. You don’t know. You say you do but can’t provide empirical evidence so no, you don’t know. Evidence or you are talking out of your ass.

Third – I’ve never told you your faith is incorrect. Others on this site have (atheists are direct like that). You on the other hand have done so repeatedly, to me and others. Don’t you have a Golden Rule somewhere that says you are to treat others as you wish to be treated? Perhaps you need to review a bit. I’ll wait. We are snowed in here so I’m not going anywhere.

Fourth – the Evangelical chaplains you adore who promote the kind of stunts the football players are doing are breaking the law. This blatant disregard of anyone but themselves can not be tolerated in these United States. Learn to share or face the consequences.

Fifth – You welcome debate with Rev Morton. Really. Because I’ve asked you some direct questions and you’ve ignored them, repeatedly. You called me biblically illiterate and yet I was able to quote the bible to prove my point. You believe your holy book is the literal word of God so isn’t there a message somewhere in there that forbids women to ‘talk as a man’? I seem to remember those passages being used to keep us wimmin folk barefoot and preggers for millennia. And here you offer to debate. Yeah – I suggest if Rev Morton reads your comment she understand you have no desire to debate but instead wish to lecture a ‘bitter’ woman on the workings of MAN STUFF. I’m sure she’s met folks like you before but a heads up is always helpful.

I like how you ignored the questions G asked and focus on the Israel/Palestine issue. As I don’t live in either country I believe my opinion is like toilet paper, disposable and full of crap.

As for the unanswered questions – this website is filled with questions you won’t answer. I’ll still ask my questions, I just don’t expect an answer.

    Connie,

Since you say you know the bible so well, please give me a scripture reference where it said that God makes gay people?

Regarding questioning Ms. Morton’s salvation, Paul the Apostle said “are we not to judge those inside the body of Christ?” This was a rhetorical question which begs the answer to be yes.

If football players are “breaking the law” for praying, they are breaking man’s laws not God’s laws which always preempt man’s laws!

  8. Connie December 13, 2015 at 5:06 pm

    YW –

    Genesis 1:26
26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

I believe this is the passage I had in mind. A note: your holy book doesn’t mention the specific creation of penguins, solar winds, or atoms and yet these things exist. If you truly believe God created everything as described above then gay is just a manifestation of being God. It’s as innate as being left or right handed.

Since the football players represent man’s laws then it is fair and just they pay the price for breaking them. In the USA it is the Constitution over your holy book. The fact you don’t want to understand is telling.

I asked about your Golden Rule – and of course you ignored the topic to focus on judgement. The talk you have with your savior when you die is going to be interesting. Anyway, you used 1 Corinthians 5:11 – 12:

11 But actually, I wrote to you not to associate with any so-called brother if he is an immoral person, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or a swindler– not even to eat with such a one. 12 For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Do you not judge those who are within the church?

Coolness – this means Rev Morton is qualified and even justified in passing judgement on your less than Christ like self. I am sure her analysis of you will be just a fair and yours was of her.

Personally, I do my best to use judgement carefully because like power, it corrupts absolutely. That whole mote and plank thing.

  9. Connie December 13, 2015 at 5:11 pm

PS – just because I can quote your book does not mean I believe it is the inerrant word of God. I’m a Quantum Activist (among other things).

Next time you demand of me I will not oblige. I’ve proven myself to be well read in your faith while you sing one tune (and off key at that) to mix my metaphors.

How about you prove to me that you can learn how to share?

  10. Yeshua Warrior December 14, 2015 at 8:41 am

    Dear Connie,

Wow what a heresy, saying that being gay is a manifestation of His Image! If God calls homosexuality an abomination, then by your reasoning, God would have to be an abomination to Himself. Also, since God calls homosexuality an abomination, that would be totally against His character to create that which is an abomination. “God is light and in Him there is no darkness(sin) at all. God cannot look upon sin, because He is perfect without sin, like His Son Jesus! For the believer, do to the sacrifice of Christ at the cross, taking mankind’s sin upon Him, God now looks at the believer through Christ’s eyes and sees us sinless!

God’s law and Word will always come before any man’s or nations laws. For the Christian, our citizenship is not of this world but in heaven, we are just passing through while on earth before going to be with Jesus for all eternally!

  11. G December 14, 2015 at 5:19 pm

Since God created everyone in his own image, then why don’t we have pictures of God with glasses, being short, being obese, being blind, etc?
