Not at all, every freedom loving military in the world should seek to wipe out ISIS all together, take no prisoners and leave no one alive. Every nation should to look to Israel to what they did to ISIS in the Sinai Peninsula, they bombed the hell out of ISIS, now that is how you get it done against terrorists. You do not negotiate with terrorists, you just kill them. As Gen Patton once said, “let the poor bastard die for his country.”

I’ve got no objection to the iconography. An armored hand impaling a scorpion is fine by me.

The reverse side of the medal reminds me too much of a Roman/World II German eagle.

Just get over it, good grief. Should the medical profession change their insignia of the snake wrapped around a pole because it comes from the bible???

  5. G

The world has changed too much Holy Rebel, so you need to get over it and it has nothing to do with political correctness.

  6. Holy Rebel

Political correctness is of the devil, God is never politically correct.

  7. G

Did God inform you that political correctness is that of the devil? You need to get over it and get on the morally correct program. Fifty to 60 years ago, a lot of white Christians could racists, sexist remarks towards minorities and women, and get away with it because no one would hold them accountable for being despicable human beings. Since the Civil Right movement, white Christians either have to get on board and act like Christians and treat their fellow human beings as equals or face criminal/civil charges for saying such remarks in public. Those racists, sexist days may not be over; however, people can no longer get away with impunity these days regarding their remarks.

“God is never politically correct.” No, God is a plain murderer: http://www.evilbible.com/evil-bible-home-page/murder-in-the-bible/

    HR,

The symbol which designates the medical profession did NOT come from the Bible. It came from Greek mythology. The American symbol of two snakes entwined around a winged rod is called the Caduceus, was the symbol of Hermes, the Greek messenger of the Gods. The Rod of Asclepius, which is a single snake entwined around a rod, is the symbol of the Greek God of healing and medicine named Asclepius. Even the Hippocratic Oath names Greek Gods related to medicine and healing which are being sworn two.

I have no clue where you got the idea that the medical symbol came from the Bible.

Numbers 21:9 – So Moses made a bronze serpent and set it on a pole. And if a serpent bit anyone, he would look at the bronze serpent and live.

G- I am on the morally correct program, it is called the Word of God. Let me remind you that is was the Democrats who were opposed to the civil rights movement, were all for slavery and started the KKK.

You are assuming I am racist, which I am not, and you are also assuming that I am sexist which I am not. I believe that women should make the same pay as their male counterparts for the same job.

I am also not anti-Israel like many Democrats are, they even voted God and Israel out of their party at their last convention.

“Numbers 21:9 – So Moses made a bronze serpent and set it on a pole. And if a serpent bit anyone, he would look at the bronze serpent and live.”

Yeah, and the Greek gods, Roman gods, Nordic gods, and all the other gods have been around a lot longer than God himself; otherwise, why do we studied them and incorporate them in literature, music, films, TV, theatre, philosophy, etc.

    HR,

So, the Hebrews stole the story from the Greeks. No surprise there. Temples of Asclepius contained nonvenomous snakes because they believed that the snakes helped the healing process. Scholars and historians place the origin of the medical symbol in Greek Mythology, and I am more inclined to believe them than you.

And let me remind YOU that you are lying by omission in your description of the Democrats. You failed to note that these actions took place before the political parties shifted orientation after the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act were passed. Dixiecrats, who were southern conservatives who opposed the Republicans on principle because they were “The party of Lincoln”, left the Democratic party and joined the Republican party in the late 1960’s, shifting the Republicans to the Right, and the Democrats to the Left. This means that the Democrats and Republicans switched places on the socio-political spectrum. And since then, the Republicans have been accelerating towards the right until now they are the extreme right.

Your statement would be more accurate if you had said that “[conservatives] were the ones who opposed the civil rights movement, were all for slavery, and stated the KKK.” The Democrats who did those things in the past would be and are Republicans today. Which means that there is no reason except a form of slander to try to equate the conservative Democratic Party of 50 years ago with the Democratic Party of today. They are not equivalent because of a fundamental shift that has happened since.

That is why it is more honest to refer to the groups as “conservatives” and “liberals”, because it is more accurate, and we can still see the same type of divide today. Conservatives professing hatred, discrimination, exclusion, and privilege, and liberals professing compassion, equality, inclusion, and tolerance.

” Let me remind you that is was the Democrats who were opposed to the civil rights movement, were all for slavery and started the KKK.”

HR, these same Democrats who oppose civil rights, were for slavery and started the KKK join the Republican Party when Reagan ran for president of the USA, so nothing has really changed regarding their beliefs.

“You are assuming I am racist, which I am not, and you are also assuming that I am sexist which I am not. I believe that women should make the same pay as their male counterparts for the same job.”

When people like you complain about not being able to make sexist, racist remarks because such remarks will no longer will be tolerable, then you are racist and sexist because you think that your so called freedom of speech is being sacrificed on the altar of political correctness.

“I am also not anti-Israel like many Democrats are, they even voted God and Israel out of their party at their last convention.”

Many Republicans only believe in God as long as they are able to get the votes and money from the right wing evangelists. Regarding the Israelis, your ordinary Israelis citizen get more money from the US taxpayer, than the American taxpayer gets from his own government. It is about time that both parties start doing charity at home with the American people instead of giving money to Israel. You believe in Israel so much, then move to that country.
