5/1/16 PATHEOS – Army Tells Soldiers Only Jesus Can Heal Rape Victims

As I understand it, there is no ‘healing’ when dealing with rape. There is coping. There is learning to live with the event. There is moving on with your life. But healing? I’ve never found it. Perhaps others have. I can’t speak for them.

I want to know how people are supposed to “heal” when the conversation is ruled by inconsequentials like clothing worn or why were you where you were, instead of, why do we humans continue to tell our young boys and men that they have the right to take whatever they want? Rev Bob’s ministry (aka Yeshua Warrior and Holy Rebel) encourages this thought process – and his over enthusiastic endorsement of violence teaches the children within his reach that might makes right.

I thought the founding fathers created documents to avoid this kind of behavior, or am I missing a point to the Constitution and Bill of Rights? There are alternatives – I’m all for going back to the barbaric ways. I’m only civilized because I value the knowledge and experience of people like Ben, Thomas, George, and John. OK there was a lot of John, Paul, George, and Ringo too, but I do digress. In order to ensure harmony, e pluribus unum seems to be a fine way to dovetail us all.

Note – Those who are pushing for the end times may get their wish. And like all wishes made without thought, they will get exactly what they wished for, but nothing what they want. The Christian God said himself, no man will know my timing. Why Rev Bob believes Christ is coming back in his life, well, I guess Rev Bob has shown more than once he believes he knows better than his deity.
