11/14/16 – MRFF’s Statement on Steve Bannon Hired as Trump’s Chief Strategist

Friends and Allies,

The Military Religious Freedom Foundation’s battle for civil liberties just became even more critical and the situation of our non-white and non-Christian troops far more dire. The President Elect is assembling his cabinet and senior White House advisors, and reports are coming in that the Chief Executive of Trump’s campaign, Steve Bannon, has been tapped as Chief Strategist and Senior Counselor.

For those unfamiliar with Bannon, he’s the deplorable white nationalist behind Breitbart News – a staunch bastion of the worst the alt-right has to offer and a savage opponent of every one of the civil rights we, as Americans, hold so dear.

Breitbart “News” is no more and no less than a front for the anti-Semitic, Islamophobic, white supremacist, alt-right Dominionist movement. Breitbart has attacked myself, MRFF, and the service members we represent repeatedly, sneering at those who reach out to us and insisting on the right of fundamentalist Christian leaders in the military to proselytize to troops under their command.

Bannon himself is the darling of white nationalists, alt-right leaders, and racists across the country. Richard Spencer, who coined the term “alt-right” and who is rabidly anti-Semitic, is thrilled. So is Andrew Anglin, Neo-Nazi and owner of the self-proclaimed “#1 alt-right website” Daily Stormer, although he would have liked to have seen Bannon installed as Chief of Staff.

Ken Reed, the national director of the Neo-Nazi group Aryan Renaissance Society, gleefully posted the news accompanied by hashtags reading #WhiteLivesMatter and #AltRight, while Stormfront, the oldest Neo-Nazi message board on the web, was full of messages like this one:

“Stephen Bannon: racist, anti-homo, anti-immigrant, anti-jewish, anti-establishment… Sounds perfect. Muhahahaha. The man who will have Trump’s ear more than anyone else. Being anti-jewish is not illegal. Nothing you dirty stinking jews can do to keep him out.”

We can expect Bannon to work in tandem with VP Elect Pence, another Dominionist, to push the white nationalist, Christian supremacy agenda on every front. These hateful, divisive “patriots” feed on fear and fury, and deliberately seek to turn one American against another, even among their own ranks. They glory in setting Christian against Muslim, white against black, and gay against straight – using their twisted definition of religious freedom as an excuse to cram their hate down the throats of those who disagree.

I ask you all to come together, to stand strong against this horrific battalion of shame being assembled in Washington, and to continue to support MRFF and our fight for equality and freedom from religious oppression. We will not back down, we will not EVER give up.

In addition to the Dominionists and Christian Supremicists MRFF has to protect our soldiers from white nationalists and Nazis.

Mikey, if you weren’t busy before you will be now. Over, Under, Around, or Through. Let’s get this done.

I have no monies to donate. I do have Haiku abilities and know how to use them.

    Bring it, enemies
    The Constitution will last
    Beyond your attacks

  2. American Patriot

Oh please, our military does not need to worry about white nationalists or Nazi’s, good grief, now you sound like the lame stream media, always hyping things up! Our military has more to worry about with Jihadists infiltrating our military like Major Hasan.

  3. American Patriot

Steve Bannon is not anti-Semitic. Period.
    He is anti-leftist.
Despite the ravings of the ADL, which is now a leftist outfit staffed by Jews rather than a Jewish organization staffed by leftists, “Jewish” and “leftist” are not synonymous.

Caroline Glick is a staff writer for the Jerusalem Post and noted author. I think a true Jew would know what is anti-Semitic and what is not!

  4. Connie

When a person tells you who they are, be it by word or action, believe them.

  5. American Patriot

Other people who know Bannon very closely have said that he is no anti-Semite, that I believe especially when it comes from Jews who know him.

Even the CEO of the Zionist Organization of America repudiates the assertion that Bannon is an anti-Semite. You liberals would not know the truth if it bit you on the butt.

  6. Connie

    Truth is subjective A/D P.

Mr Bannons work speaks for itself – fact. His words speak for themselves – fact.

The adults all know this – so why are you running from post to post whining about how we aren’t being fair to your favorite bigots?

Sounds like someone needs a nap.

  7. American Patriot

As I have said before, Caroline Glick, an Israeli Jew and the ZOA, an organization of most likely Orthodox Jews have stated that he is not anti-Semitic and I would say if there is anyone who knows what true anti-Semitic behavior and rhetoric is, is a Jewish person who has experienced it themselves, especially an Israeli Jew!. Sounds like Connie needs some milk of magnesia and an enema.

My colon is clear A/D P. Thanks for your concern.

Bannon is who he is and no amount of Orwellian defense by you or others will change that. In a way I feel sad you are so duped in your eagerness to bring on your coveted end times. The here/now as scary and icky as it is with all the hate you spew is still all humans have.

Honestly – I say nap and you go to poop. Really.

  10. American Patriot

Even liberal Alan Dershowitz, another Jew defends Bannon

You have to ask the question, why would Jews defend Bannon if he was truly anti-Semitic, Jews usually scream the loudest about those who are anti-semitic!

  11. Connie

A/D P Shall I focus instead on the rest of Bannons charming traits? Let’s discuss his leadership in the alt-right (a known and well documented racist movement) and his hatred of independent women. Those are the top two issues I found with a quick search. I’m sure I can find more.

Your favored guy played you for a chump and you’re here, defending the indefensible. Sad.

  12. Tom O

Quote from KKK leader David Duke: “You have an individual, Mr. Bannon, who’s basically creating the ideological aspects of where we’re going. And ideology ultimately is the most important aspect of any government.”
Headlines from Breitbart stories: “The solution to online ‘harassment’ is simple: Women should log off;” “Bill Kristol: Republican spoiler, renegade Jew”; “Trannies whine about hilarious Bruce Jenner billboard”; “Birth control makes women unattractive and crazy”; “Hoist it high and proud: The Confederate flag proclaims a glorious heritage”; “Would you rather your child had feminism or cancer?”; “Gay rights have made us dumber, it’s time to get back in the closet.”
Not hard to see why American Patriot/Deplorable Patriot/Holy Rebel/Rev Bob/Yeshua Warrior wants to limit the discussion to Bannon’s attitudes about Jews, and doesn’t want to discuss any of the other right-wing-whacko beliefs that Bannon publicizes and supports.

  13. Connie

    Tom O –

It’s too hard to type all the initials of our resident deplorable. He really needs a nick name we can use to identify him no matter what he calls himself. I vote for alphabet soup. Easy to type on my phone.

Anyway – have you ever received an answer to your questions from our alphabet soup? I’m figuring no and that you already know the answers. But that’s not the point, is it?

    Hope you are well.

“Our military has more to worry about with Jihadists infiltrating our military like Major Hasan.”

I worry about the Christians infiltrating our military like they have already done so. They also have infiltrated the rest of our society with disastrous results for the country.

  15. American Patriot

Trump has picked Gov. Nikki Haley as the next UN Ambassador, another Christian chosed to be part of his cabinet. We will also counsel Trump to pick the secretaries of the different branches of the armed forces that will stand up against Mikey. Pretty soon Mikey will have no one in DC or the Pentagon whom he can run too. I think Col. Allen West would make a great Sec of the Army.

How do you like Trump’s pick for Sec of Defense – Maddog Mattis, a hard core Marine, he would tell Mikey where to shove his complaints and threats.

  16. American Patriot

As Trump as president I also see gay marriage being reversed and the Defense of Marriage Act passed. Some asked me what biblical values can be brought back to our nation, how about the sanctity of life, and the sanctity of biblical marriage to start.

  17. Connie

The good Dominionist is almost orgasmic over the raping of the Constitution and Bill of Rights. And yet AP considers themselves the only Twue American.

Karma is a bitch AP. When she comes to visit I won’t gloat as you do here. I’ll just say “I told you I don’t like being correct”.

  18. Connie

    “Sanctity of biblical marriage”

    Ah ha ha hahahhahahahahahahaha.

Whew (wiping my eyes) oh my! I totally needed to laugh today.

Oh thank you AP. Didn’t know you were a comedian.

  19. American Patriot

Biblical marriage of one man and one woman is the only marriage God recognizes and will bless, all other kinds are an abomination before Him and will sadly suffer the wrath and judgment of God one day!

    By the way, Happy Thanksgiving!

  20. G

Sorry AP, gay marriage can’t be reverse now and whoever is the new Secretary of Defense can’t tell him to go shove it.

  21. Connie

Once again AP cherry picks data from his holy book to make it say what it doesn’t say.

Fact – nowhere in the Christian Bible does it define marriage as “only” between one man and one woman. There are many marriages blessed by God, including many forms of polygamy. Shall we list them all?

Fact – marriage equality is not based in religious law, but instead is a cornerstone of equal rights for all. Religion has no place in the Constitution.

Fact – AP, I spanked you under another nom de plume regarding your lack of biblical and constituional knowledge. Shall we play again? My internet is almost non existent but this fight is important.

This has been used before but could use repeating:

    You can repeat a
    Lie again and again. It
    Doesn’t make it truth

Reply from AP? Crickets I expect.

  22. G

Keep smacking AP, Connie with your knowledge of the Bible.
