Military bases are just that – military bases. Security of the base entrances should either be performed by military police (which is why you have them in the first place), by active duty soldiers doing guard duty as part of their functions as soldiers or by both active duty soldiers with MPs at their side. What is all this hysteria about terrorism when the military doesn’t take it seriously when it comes to the security of their own bases in the USA?

I would like to thank Mikey and MRFF for proselytizing on their front page by boldly printing John 3:16, now anyone who happens to check out that verse will
have a good chance at accepting Christ. You know how many people looked up that verse when Tim Tebow printed that on his eye black back in college. Lots!

Mikey has now become an evangelist! Whoo hoo!

” You know how many people looked up that verse when Tim Tebow printed that on his eye black back in college. Lots!”

Why don’t you give an exact number, JR?

“….boldly printing John 3:16, now anyone who happens to check out that verse will
have a good chance at accepting Christ. ”

You have any solid evidence that reading John 3:16 automatically makes people accept Christ?

I just want to say that I wish that Chris Rodda, who reported this story for MRFF, had reached out to other than the 21 people who had a problem with this, to get the rest of the story.
I have worked at Tobyhanna for 14 yrs and have seen a DoD civilian assisting with the checking of identifications almost every morning. A DoD security officer is right there as well checking IDs.
With the volume of personnel entering the gates each morning, many personnel would be late if not for the assistance of a qualified DoD civilian who is trained to check IDs.
I would also like to know what the 15 “practicing Christians” consider to be “practicing” because sitting in a church pew on Sunday morning, no more makes you a “Christian” than sitting in your garage makes you a “car”.
