To my brothers and sisters in liberty,

I am an active duty member of the United States Navy. I appreciate the staunchness with which Mr Weinstein takes his responsibility to fulfill his unending oath to support and defend the Constitution and our Republic from being taken over from within as so many would have happen.

His journey, and the unpopular path that he has chosen follows the very example of Presidents Thomas Jefferson and James Madison, who, after securing the liberty of our great nation against a tyrant on the other side of the world, helped to cement the foundation of our secular Republic against the extremists and would be tyrants from within that wanted to introduce religious tests and theocracy to benefit only one group of people, and undoubtedly malign the rest of us that did not share their beliefs.

I was not born or raised in this country, I came here as an adult in 2012 because I was truly inspired by the likes of the Founding Fathers, who put their lives, wealth, and honor on the line against the greatest superpower the world had ever seen, in an attempt to create a free nation. I have lived in many countries, from absolute monarchies to tyrannical dictatorships and so I know the value and meaning of what rights are.

So far I have contacted my elected representatives about this, and found very little help. I also contacted the ACLU, but they didn’t even read my request for assistance properly and just sent me an email reply saying that they don’t do immigration law and that I should contact an immigration attorney (despite the fact that my claim had nothing to do with immigration law, as I am a naturalized US Citizen). I responded back to them clarifying this, but their minds were already made up and just told me to look for help elsewhere as they were too busy to help me (this, I admit I was truly surprised about, given today’s political climate).

I know that the MRFF is small, and, like all great organizations that actually work to create a difference, as opposed to just shaking hands and cashing checks whilst providing nonsensical and insincere sound bites, is underfunded. But I really don’t have any other option here. I refuse to go to (name of civil rights organization withheld) because of their history of aligning themselves with extremists and anti-Semites.

And so, that is why I humbly and respectfully request your assistance on this matter of religious intolerance, bigotry and prejudice which I am sadly facing..

I look forward to speaking with you later today concerning my situation. I weep for our republic.

Sincerely,

(name, rank, title, assigned unit and installation of this active duty U.S. sailor all withheld)

” I have lived in many countries, from absolute monarchies to tyrannical dictatorships and so I know the value and meaning of what rights are.”

Many of those absolute monarchies to tyrannical dictatorships were back up and supported by the American government and American business class. Furthermore, if you look at the history of America, the government violated the people’s rights since the end of the American Revolutionary War. Don’t be so secure that your rights is being respected by the American government and the wealthy class because they are not and never will be.
