Dear (name withheld),

Aw, the poor military is being picked on? Gee, you’re upset that Mikey is pushing the entire

U.S. Military around?

Any chance of your getting a life?

I agree little Mikey should eat his Life cereal and get a life. Why doesn’t the MRFF do something to REALLY help veterans instead of wasting everyone’s time with frivolous threats and lawsuits about a Bible on a table. PATHETIC

I question Old Soldiers claim of service as they consistently claim Mikey doesn’t help Veterans.

Old Soldier doesn’t elaborate what they want the MRFF to do… and the fact Mikey and the MRFF constantly defend the Constitution from attacks by Christian Nationalists means nothing to Old Soldier. Such a shame as defending the Constitution is a core tenet of the Military.

I’d play a game with OS – you know the one where the Christian Bible is exchanged for a Quran or another book of faith – but past comments by Old Soldier to me indicate they don’t like to play.

Still… shall we play a game Old Soldier?

Your right about one thing, what the MRFF does doesn’t mean anything to me. There are organizations like the American Legion and Wounded Warriors who really help our military and veterans. By the way, don’t you think your a little old to “play games”. It’s not that I wouldn’t want to play with you its that I wouldn’t want to waste my time trying to reason with a FOOL

Old Soldier, it is through play that all creatures on the earth learn; of course you don’t play.

MRFF does plenty for the active and retired Military. As you are a Christian Nationalist bent on taking over the world in the name of your idea of religion you refuse to see the good they do.

Added note: Old Soldier consistently derides others for calling names but has no issue with doing it themselves. Isn’t there a word for such things? Hippo something. It will come to me, I know it will.

I want to share a special poem written by Medal of Honor winner Colonel Lewis Millett. It is a reminder to us that a soldier is a mere mortal but it is the IMMORTAL who protects us all. I hope that little Mikey reads this
I have fought when others feared to serve.
I have gone where others failed to go.
I’ve lost friends in war and strife,
Who valued Duty more than love of life.
I have shared the comradeship of pain.
I have searched the lands for men that we have lost.
I have sons who served this land of liberty,
Who would fight to see that other stricken lands are free.
I have seen the weak forsake humanity.
I have heard the traitors praise our enemy.
I’ve seen challenged men become even bolder,
I’ve seen the Duty, Honor, Sacrifice of the Soldier.
Now I understand the meaning of our lives,
The loss of comrades not so very long ago.
So to you who have answered duties siren call,
May God bless you my son, may God bless you all.
    Lewis Millett

I snarked on your poetry lesson in another comment Old Soldier. Since that moment I’ve had a few observations pop into my head, specifically

    * Warriors are not just men
    * Warriors come in many flavors of faith

Lewis Millet was a product of his day and none of the information I gleaned off the nets hinted if he lost faith with his superior officers. See, that’s the thing about a warrior. They will fight until they die if they believe in the mission and that they are achieving something for the greater good.

And that’s the thing about leaders. Sometimes their motives are not as pure as their commands indicate. Sometimes they will send warriors… Well, in the USA we’ve witnessed such tactics more than once (looking at history USA).

Being the holiday this weekend is about Labour and not Remembering the Mighty Fallen I’m not sure what message Old Soldier was trying to make. Thanks for the poetry lesson?

    Bravo Old Soldier

BRR, I have more respect for people who fought and even died for labor rights in this country even if it meant that they had to killed the members of the US military and National Guard since those soldiers were trying to killed them.
