Mikey dear, chaplains are supposed to do these things, that’s why we have them. They are also citizens of America and so are entitled to freedom of speech and freedom OF religion.Even you ,alas, are entitled to your present opinion but you are treading on others rights when you try to silence them.face book is the verbal diarrhea catchall of the world,it’s nice when they allow good stuff on. The chaplains are military chaplains ,you know the American governments military?! They provide chaplains so service men will have access to their freedoms. It is not compulsory, neither is Facebook .Facebook is not the government ,….or is it?your job is superfluous, we have the Constitution and bill of Rights, and God.
What u got besides nitpicking and whiney

Hi (name withheld),Your message, snide and petulant as it is, nonetheless clearly conveys your total ignorance of the situationyou seem to think you’re addressing. That makes it hard to properly respond beyond dismissing your maunderings and move on to someone with a coherent point to offer and possibly discuss. If you ever develop the ability to raise a point worth discussing we’d be happy to welcome you back and explain what actually happened and why it was dealt with as it was.Absent that, please continue to content yourself with vacuity.Mike Farrell(MRFF Board of Advisors)

Thank you. To explain:
Mr. Donohue, the author of the tract that has so inflamed his followers, lied when claiming Mikey Weinsteinis an “anti-Christian activist.” That is simply false. Over 95% of those involved with the Military Religious Freedom Foundation are Christians.
Further, Mr. Donohue misinformed you and mischaracterized the situation at hand, evidently trying to stir up anger and encourage his followers to defend the faith. The faith is not being attacked.
It’s actually a relatively simple matter of obeying military regulations. For legal reasons, religious expression in the U.S. Military is to be guided by honoring concerns about the proper time, place and manner. The MRFF agrees that military personnel have every right to pray. We have no objection to prayer. We object to inappropriate proselytizing. You see, chaplains have a face book page whereon they can do all the praying and lecturing and teaching and enlightening they’d like. But that’s a separate page from that of the unit leader or commanding officer. The Commander’s page may not be used to promote one particular belief system over others because doing so implies government endorsement of a particular faith and violates the separation of church and state. The chaplains’ speeches were on the wrong page. We received complaints about it, checked it out and reported it to the base authorities. They in turn looked at it, agreed and took them down.
I assume, but don’t know, they were simply moved to the chaplain’s page. That’s what should have happened. Whether or not he checked I don’t know, but Mr. Donohue assumed the worst and issued his call to arms.I hope that helps you better understand the situation.

Thank you letter writer for accepting the facts as told by Brigadier General John Compere, US Army (Retired). You are a rare soul.
MRFF – is there any action you can take against Bill Donahue for promoting lies? I get he’s a propagandist for the Catholic church but lies in the name of a deity are still lies. And the rules old Bill wants plastered everywhere are very specific about bearing falsehoods.
I admit to animosity towards Mr Bill. His lies about LGBTQA people have caused a lot of harm and death over the years. He’s one of three people I would not offer my fluids to especially if they were on fire.
There are no lies about homosexuals, they are sexual degenerates by their own choice along with transgenders, all whom Christ died for but must repent of their sins otherwise they have no hope of heaven whether they be Jewish, Muslim, Christian, etc.
Sigh. Infidel, you are clearly another Christian who ignores science because it conflicts with his Holy Book. People with an uncommon sexual orientation and people whose gender identity is not in lock-step with their gender assigned at birth are not degenerate. (Oh, and those two categories are not correlated with one another. Gender identity is different from sexual orientation.) Adults who have sex only with other consenting adults are not doing anything that is anyone’s business but their own, and if such people want long-term relationships codified by the government, it is beneficial for both them and any children they might have. If these people are somehow pissing off your god, that’s between them and that god and not your problem.
God only created male and female, not freaks or those who do abominations. Homosexuality and transgenderism is nothing but a choice, no one is born gay or transgender period.
Infidel,
Not that you care in the blindness of your bigotry, but science (i.e. reality) says otherwise.
Also, nobody is bound by your hateful and intolerant religion except you. Your beliefs do not apply to anyone except you. Your opinion of what is and is not a “sin” is just that, your opinion. You do not have the right to dictate to anyone else what their beliefs are, nor what is and is not a “sin” according to their beliefs and opinions.
Additionally, it is none of your business who people love, marry, and/or have sex with, assuming that it is between consenting adults with the full knowledge of all directly involved parties. That means that you can just butt out of other people’s business because it does not affect you and it harms nobody. Your opinions of “spiritual” or “metaphysical” harm do not count since you do not care about such harm that you would inflict on them by your hatred and intolerance.
Ahh poor Marky is upset and confused
Infidel,
I find those who assert their faith and only their faith is the only answer for everyone period end of discussion are really the ones who are confused.
This quarantine must be so difficult for you; trapped in your home with no one to bully but your family. I mean, yeah, you get to do what you do but laying your faith on the unwashed masses – that’s the money shot, amirite?
Anyone in your little circle get sick yet? Have they died? Perhaps you have thoughts on that as well Infidel.
Karen and Mark – we knock one down (SARSU) and another pops up. Perhaps it’s even the same person?
No matter – they all sound the same like a twisted Sinclair ‘Must Broadcast’ announcement.
Infidel: in the USA, you don’t get to decide whose sexual preference or gender identity is ok or not ok. We have a constitution here. You are not a dictator in a dictatorship. Your alleged religion teaches of humility and compassion – not of ignorant condemnation of others. I recommend that you face your own character problems and do something about them, rather than smearing others and lying about people you don’t know.
Are you a freak?
Infidel,
Unlike you, I am not confused at all. I am upset at you for working to deny people equal rights, and working towards destroying this country and turning it into a theocracy or theonomy. The is a a reasonable reason to be upset at you, and it means that I am also keeping my oath to defend this country against all enemies, foreign and domestic, even when I have been out of the military for over 20 years.
