Dear Sir,
You know, it’s hard to figure out just how to respond to your message.
There’s nothing inherently wrong with being loud. It can be insufferable, but some things are loud by
nature and can be accommodated in small or perhaps tolerable doses.
And there’s nothing inherently wrong with ignorance. Not knowing can be a problem, but it’s one easily
solved by a willingness to learn.
Stupidity, however, is another issue entirely. There are, I suppose, people incapable of learning, but
that’s probably a medical, psychological or developmental issue. It’s the unwillingness to learn, coupled
with the pretense of knowledge that is so sad to see and difficult to deal with.
In your case, it’s not even a pretense, though, is it? It’s a horrifyingly incorrect assumption. You claim a
knowledge you don’t possess and declare certainty about a spiritual issue you don’t understand. That
takes your case to a level beyond my reckoning.
So as said, it’s hard to figure out just how to respond. I guess I’m just left with suggesting you kiss my ass.

To the bigot who sent this vile note-
I appreciate that your email was brief, albeit still rife with spelling, syntax and punctuation errors. But the less said by hateful individuals, the better.  You merely reinforce the importance of the work being done by the MRFF.
While you appear to suffer from the misconception that you are a ‘true’ American, your beliefs are the antithesis of the values upon which America was founded.
While you appear to suffer from the delusion that you are a Christian, your beliefs are the antithesis of any teaching of which I am aware.
I pity you. And as a USAF veteran and follower of Jesus Christ, I stand opposed to your views of what it means to be an American and what it means to be a Christian.
But thank you for reminding me that much work remains to be done in support of the Constitutional rights of all US military members.

    Dear misguided bigot,
From someone inside our military, I can confirm…
Jesus doesn’t lead our military. Neither does satan, Odin, Apollo, Shapash, or Pele.
We all practice our own faiths, enjoying the freedom of doing so without any censure or fear of reprisal. Sure it’s not perfect because we still have people who think we should follow their own faith, but it’s accepted nonetheless.
    Have a great Tyrsday!
