Patriot pastor, why have you not answered my question that I asked you on the friendly atheist website?
It is unbelievably obnoxious to be proselytizes to by your private sector boss and/or coworkers. I would imagine it would be a lot worse for military personnel, because ultimately I can tell Karen to take a hike without facing too much trouble, or if it gets really bad I can contact HR. Can’t really do that in the military, which is why I stand in solidarity with those who serve our nation who also want to keep their own beliefs and not have other ones forced on them.
I will never understand why hardcore evangelicals are so determined to get everyone else involved in their suicide cult. My faith celebrates humanity and our connection to the earth, the divine, and each other. I have no desire to join a religion that to me seems to revel in despair and death. I do pity people like Patriot Pastor and Ted Cruz to an extent. Hope you guys get out of Soul North Korea.
Witnessing to the lost is not forcing religion upon others. It is merely telling others the Truth. It’s their choice. We are given free will.
Christians understand this and desire to reach the lost, the hurting, the ones who feel they can’t face another day.
Many people, especially the ones in the military with PTSD who may have seen death firsthand, need to know God loves them and desires a relationship with them. These people are searching for hope, love, comfort, peace, understanding, truth. There is only one way. Jesus is the answer.
Nobody on earth, heaven, or hell compares to the Father who is both, a God of Love and a God of Wrath. I’m assuming by the mocking comments no one here understands what this means.
God LOVES you so much that He placed His WRATH upon His only Son (Jesus) who willingly accepted the price He paid just so that YOU MAY HAVE LIFE through His free gift of salvation by accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior.
That’s it. I’m not beating the Bible on anyone’s head. it’s your choice whether to accept or reject Him. Peace out!!
Me, a supreme being worthy of the title would be able to acknowledge that a person who lived their entire lives without ever hearing about Christianity but lived a decent life doesn’t deserve torture forever. Nothing compares to God, sure, you and I agree with this, but you and I have extremely different concept of what that entails.
What you describe, a being that is so hidebound by limitations it imposed on itself in its own rage, and unable (or unwilling) to change hardly deserves to be considered the Supreme Being. If that’s love, I’m afraid to see your concept of hate. I also find it fairly alarming that you believe God actually needed a human sacrifice for its hate to finally be calmed even a little bit.
Humans have existed in our anatomically modern form for about 15,000 years. That leaves 13,000 years of people, billions on billions, who are currently enduring neverending torture for the crime of being born before Jesus of Nazareth. So, what, all those people are just out of luck? Westerners discovered Australia in the late 1600s/early 1700s, the earliest the people there could have heard about Christianity was then, are those people just SOL? Christianity only became common in the country my ancestors came from in the 1600s as well, and then it was literally illegal for a while, were they just screwed? Today in 2020 there are places where nobody knows anything about Christianity or any other religion other than their state religion because of the laws there. Guess Saudi people who never learn anything other than Islam, or Burmese people who only know Buddhism are in for eternal torture.
Please, actually try to think about whether your concept of God makes any logical sense at all. A human who acted that way would be considered one of history’s greatest monsters. A Being that hidebound can hardly be considered supreme.

Friendly Civilian – it has always baffled me to see Christianists like Patriot Pastor say they worship a self avowed omnipotent and omnipresent being only to limit the entity by a book written two thousand years ago.
I would think such a lack of logic would make anyone’s head explode.

Not only is God omnipresent, omnipotent but He is also omniscient, which means He knows what every single human being is thinking every nano second. I do not limit Him by the bible for He is the one wrote it and gave it to mankind. God is all powerful and can do anything He wants to no matter what people may think. He is so powerful that He can smack your ass into the ground if He chose to, I just wish I could be there to watch Him do it. Ah but your day is coming to you when you least expect it, and only He knows when that day will be. Your times and life are in His hands, not yours.
Oh by the way, God does not observe the separation of church and state as the liberals interpret it, and neither do I.

I’ve read blogs from women whose child has died so soon after birth. Heartbreaking.
