We get some pretty surprising stuff from people who pretend to be Christians, but your perversion of Christ’s teaching is the stupidest and most meaningless offering I’ve seen in some time.
Sadly, we hear from lunatic right-wing anti-Semites like you periodically. Like you, they all have the audacity to arrogate to themselves the right to judge us despite everything Jesus actually taught.     John Compere, you failed to understand the meaning of the letter from Name Withheld. It is not a message of hate but of Truth for what will come if you do not heed the warning. There is no need to slander and mock Christians as this only angers God.

    Also, think about this …. hellfire will be even worse for anyone who has prevented the spiritually poor from hearing the good news of Jesus.

    John Compere is a faux student of scripture. He does not understand the Word because the Holy Spirit does not reside inside him. Jesus would number him as among the wicked and unrighteous who knows not God or His Son.
    Jesus said, not I, that “one must be born again in order have eternal life.” “Wide is the path that leads to destruction, narrow is the way that leads to life.” “I am the way, the truth, the life, No Man comes to the Father but through Me(Jesus Christ). Jesus also said “he who has the Son has life, he does not have the Son does not have life.”
    At the final judgment when all mankind comes before God, if they have rejected His Son and His free gift of eternal life, then they will be cast into the Lake of Fire, separated from God for all eternity! Everyone is just one heartbeat away for eternity, the question is where will you spend eternity, in the glorious presence of Christ, or in everlasting pain and torment. The choice is up to the person where they will spend eternity!

    He also says “hellfire will be even worse for anyone who has prevented the spiritually poor from hearing the good news of Jesus,” even if that “spiritually poor” person has had the “good news of Jesus” pushed on them multiple times before (as everyone in the US military has) and doesn’t want it shoved into their ears AGAIN.”

    So, how exactly do people like the letter writer and commentators like Patriot Pastor and Me know what happens after humans die?

    Humans wrote every letter of every holy book from every religion; alive humans who could not know what happens after death.

    My question is and has been since I was knee high to a grasshopper – how do humans know what happens after death? Made me really popular with the Sunday School teachers but that’s not the subject here/now.

    Vile humans who demand their dogma is the one and only most holy of dogmas are crashing about our society being bullies by telling non followers they will burn forever. How is that fun? And more to the point, how is it fair when millions of humans died before the message was delivered on earth or were out of reach of their supposedly universal deity. The Spanish had to sail to South America to deliver their message of Christianity and disease.

    People like the letter writer, Patriot Pastor, and Me don’t have answers, only cookie cutters which they apply to everyone and everything and the bits that don’t fit the mold get snipped off and thrown away. I spent way too long trying to shave off my inconvenient parts to fit as a Christianist only to discover once the pieces outside the mold were tossed I no longer felt like me. Lots of Mental Health to heal from such a mind trip.

    So no Me, Patriot Pastor, and Letter Writer. Your answers are not based in love or some higher understanding of the Meaning of Life. You just like to tell people what to do. You are a bully and I will not back down to provide you free access to continue your reign of terror.

    Grey One, you have really good questions, and I’m so glad you are asking them. With the help of the Lord, I will do my best to answer.

    •What happens after death?
    There will be a final destination for everyone, according to the Bible. John 3:36 – whoever believes in the Son (Jesus) has eternal life; whoever rejects the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him/her.
    1 Thessalonians 4:15 – We who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep (the dead).

    • Did humans write the Bible?
    2 Timothy 3:16 – All scripture is God-breathed (inspired by God) and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness.
    This is not the only scripture that we are informed of His “divine power of the breath.” During creation in Genesis 2:7, God breathed the breath of life into Adam. Later in John 20:22, Jesus breathed on them and said “Receive the Holy Spirit.”
    Revelation 1:19 – God instructed John to write what He revealed to him at that time and what will take place later.
    Scripture came directly from God, not the will of the writers whom God gave wisdom to express His spiritual truths.
    Believers back in the biblical days used the inspired word of God to check Paul’s adherence to the word as they examined scripture everyday to see if what Paul said was true. Read the verse in 1 Corinthians 2:13 and see they concluded the wording was led by the spirit and not by the will of humans.
    How you receive His word depends on your belief and faith. The reason you are not able to understand is bc you do not believe. God says the scripture to a nonbeliever is foolish but the righteous are given the gift of faith for the salvation of his/her soul. Romans 1:17 – The righteous lives by faith. Ephesians 2:8 – For by grace you have been saved through faith. Grace means God loves, forgives, and saves … not bc of who we are or what we’ve done, but bc of who He is and what He’s done.

    • Warning nonbelievers of hell / torment:
    Speaking on hell is not a fun topic but a necessary one. Many times throughout the Bible, Jesus warns us about this place of eternal torment and separation of God. Read Luke 16:19-31 and Revelation 20:11-15.
    I know it’s hard to reconcile the mercy and love of God with the reality of hell and eternal separation from God. He gave us freedom to choose to accept or reject Him. No one loves you more than Jesus and that’s why He spoke warnings so many times about hell.

    • What happened to the people who died in the Old Testament before Jesus?
    Since the beginning after the first sin of Adam and Eve, the requirements for salvation were faith and belief.
    Psalm 2:12 – Blessed are all who take refuge in Him. Genesis 15:6 – Abraham believed and that was enough for God to credit him for righteousness.
    God spoke directly with humans before the Bible was written. There are thousands of phrases throughout the Old Testament where you can read His communications with them.

    I pray that God will open your eyes to see and understand what His word says. Blessings!

    All the verses you provided, while full of poetry, are the result of humans placing writing implement upon a flat surface such as paper or papyrus. For it to be divine such bon mots must not have the hint of human assistance.

    I understand your point, that humans under divine intervention from your chosen deity wrote each word. I strongly believe that no matter the influence, humans write what aligns with their personal bias and have called it deity for millennia.

    I understand the Big Unknown quite well. It’s when humans limit the limitless with their finite concept of archaic rules that I get cranky.

    Tom, I didn’t respond to you bc your comments are ridiculous. Sometimes harsh words are necessary to get the point across but it doesn’t mean the message in itself is hateful. I’m not the writer so how in the world am I suppose to know his feelings? He could’ve said a lot worse. Jesus called a group of Pharisees “brood of vipers!” Changing your satanic ways is pretty much self explanatory! Repent from your sins! Simple as that!

    Anyone who prevents someone from witnessing to a lost soul, that person will be held accountable and is in danger of hellfire. God desires for each of us to trust in Him. You have the free will to reject and that’s your choice. But just like all other bad choices, it comes with a bad consequence.

    If you would take take to read it, you would know God spoke directly to the people in the Old Testament by sending messages and warnings through His faithful servants and prophets.
    “You shall have no other gods before Me” is the first of the 10 commandments God provided to the people whom He freed from slavery in Egypt through Moses. He explains the “other gods” are not limited to only the supernatural (demons) but also images and past / living things (idolatry).
    The people were informed so yes, if they disobeyed without ever repenting, then they are forever in the place of torment separated from God.

    Your words of mockery and accusations are very foolish! If God had decided to not give us free will and instead created us to be His puppets, you would then complain that He should’ve allowed people to have a mind of their own to think for themselves and do as they please!

    God inspired some 40 writers over a period of 1,600 years. These writers were farmers, fishermen, lawyers, kings, and prophets with widely differing cultural and educational backgrounds. God verbally directed their writings, that when their books were brought they formed one Perfect Book without a single contradiction or error. Each ones’s writings dove-tailed into the other so as to form a perfect whole. This could only happen bc God’s hand was leading them in all that they wrote.
    Some claim there are contradictions all through the Bible, but that is not true. All so-called contradictions are in the human’s brain and not in God’s book. God did not inspire men’s interpretations of the Bible … He inspired the Bible. It is true!

    Influence ….
    Many people have unsuccessfully tried to destroy the Bible throughout the ages but God’s Word will stand forever.
    Millions down through the ages have witnessed to the transforming, life-changing power of the Bible. This proves God speaks through it. No other author can it be said … “Your word I have hidden in my heart that I might not sin against thee.” (Psalm 119:11)
    Have you ever heard a drunkard say he/she read a book on science and it made a sober man/woman out of me? Or a liar read a history book causing the reader to start speaking truth? No, no one praises the writings of men for saving them from sin, but millions have declared that the Bible and Jesus presented in the Book changed their lives. These people have been saved from hearing or reading the Word of God. How could it transform the lives of so many if it were not a Divine Book? It has also changed nations and civilizations in every nation.
    It brings comfort to the heavy-hearted. Even agnostics and back-sliders seek for its blessings when facing tough times. No other book provides true hope and satisfaction when we stand in the valley of the shadow of death.

    A. Possessing a blissful view of ones faith is not a crime.
    B. I woke up and chose For The Good of All and May it Harm None. I do not wish to be cruel
    C. History books tell only part of the story. In order to view the big picture I find music, art, written plays, poetry, thesis, and novels from each period studied fills in the gaps.
    D. I’m glad Me’s faith is as blissful as they describe for them. My remembrance is based on the reality of the other, the persecuted.
    E. I found a path to the light and I am as dedicated to it as Me is to their choice of path.
    F. Patriot Pastor is the authoritarian side of Me’s faith. Make no mistake, they both truly believe horrible things about me just because I choose not to accept their dogma.

    There is nobody more hypocritical than a religious bigot who accuses others of religious bigotry, as did the original letter writer. It is truly evil and un-American to claim to want to “save” people while spewing hate and a lack of respect for the beliefs of Jewish people, humanists, and others.

    Unfortunately, the letter writer shows what we all know to be true: a large number of our countrymen and women pay lip service to religious freedom and the constitutional rights we claim to hold dear, but they don’t really believe in them. They will trample on the rights of others and do far worse, given an opportunity. These hypocrites remind me every day that our basic civil rights have to be defended vigorously, by all of us, or they will disappear. I am grateful for all of the hard work Mikey, John, Mike, and others are doing to defend the religious freedom of all US servicemembers.

The prostelitization of your “belief in the invisible man in the clouds” (an old white guy as it turns out – just ask any white Christian), is an existential threat to the human race! You open your discussion with the description of your God as running a celestial North Korea! “Do as I say or else!” The so-called “Good Book’s” support of slavery, abortion, mysogeny, xenophobia, murder, torture, et al, is morally bereft, which implies that your God (since you say he inspired it) is also morally void! I wouldn’t hold the Christian Bible up as a standard for anything. Children are born with more moral sense than your God. If you saw a child being raped your stop it!     You can see in the posts coming into the MRFF from Christians that the vitriol oozes from their pores! But it’s delusional thinking in the fairy tales of the Bible and the need to impose those delusional beliefs on others as root cause! Christians are some of the most insecure people you will ever meet. No further proof of delusion needed than Ken Ham’s “Creation Museum” and “Noah’s Ark” in Kentucky, you know, complete with dioramas of kids playing next to dinosaurs and dinosaurs on the mythical Ark! The error in timeline is akin to saying Los Angeles is 16 feet away from New York City.! The Natural History museum in London goes to great lengths with large displays to debunk the myth that the earth is 6000 years old, a favorite of Christians. They do that because they know 40% of Americans believe it and don’t want their children exposed to such non sensical thinking!
    Your God says women should not hold power over a man and that it’s OK to heat your slave as long as they don’t die, and you can rape someone but you have to marry them!
    Your God, in the old testament, in a right temper, wiped out whole cities to include the animals! But, apparently, God went to anger management between testaments!
    Christian prostelitization will be the downfall of this country!
    Why do Christians get so angry when they meet someone that doesn’t believe as they do?
    It’s like they know their wrong but can’t cope with the admission of being wrong so they lash out at anything that challenges that belief. They know their “faith” is so fragile that the only way to protect it is to kill the messenger!

    “In the beginning, Man created God!”

    God has spoken to me! It’s true! “Me” is right about how God can directly inspire an individual’s message. God spoke to me just last night! It was unbelievable! He came to me when I least expected it. He said, “Go and tell others that I’m on indefinite leave and will no longer intervene on anyone’s behalf! You’re on your own!” He said he’s been pretty busy with another project in another Universe and that’s why we haven’t heard from him in 2000 years! He also said to tell Christians to stop making shit up about people burning forever, and to especially stop telling children this nonsense! It’s child abuse! He said that all the verbiage in the Bible was written for the sole purpose of distracting desert goat herders from the fact that they didn’t have air conditioning! And you Christians completely screwed up the message!
    He said he may not come back at all and that Jesus has been busy helping him program the new Universe – you know, with advances in technology, the young ones have to help the old folks out! And yes, the earth will end in fire, from the sun swelling up just before it explodes in 4 1/2 billion years, around the same time our Galaxy collides with Andromeda! He left me a message for Christians. He said “Christians should engage their brains before they open their mouths!”

    These words were inspired by God, they really were, just like they were in the beginning! Believe me!
