Like Shakespeare, I think you protest too much.

The facts of history will not be changed by shrill, explicit name-calling mrff members. History records that Christ was murdered FOR the “religious” men of Israel, by Pontius Pilate. Is that better? This is no more antisemitic than John 15.13, which speaks a truth I challenge you to disprove without ACLU angles of, “ohh, it’s sectarian!” The problem with all Christ-haters, and whether you are an historic Israelite or not, your words prove you hate the Jews promised Messiah, is that you are so sensitive to the partial responsibility that 1st C. Israelite pharisees have for His death, that you cannot Not spew vitriol. That is classic over-protesting and it’s based on fear. FYI, no one in their right mind holds modern jewry responsible for Christ’s death anymore than we hold descendants of 19th C. Southern plantation owners for slavery. It’s called history Mikey, and it is what it is.

Thanks be to God that all of the Apostles and most of the Disciples, were Israelite, Hebrew, Jews. For they proved the Scriptural adage of Romans 1.16 that salvation is to the Jew first and then the Gentile. [“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to EVERYONE who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.”] THESE ALL received salvation from the God-man (from St. Anselm’s Cur Deus Homo) as did many thousands of Gentiles, and Millions of both to this day. As the prophet Joel predicted in chapter 2, “It will come about after this that I will pour out My Spirit on ALL mankind [Jew and Gentile alike] And your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on the male and female servants I will pour out My Spirit in those days…” Joel‬ ‭2:28->

Finally, unlike the Navy chaplain, Christians KNOW that humanity of every background and creed put Jesus Christ on the cross, and that this was God’s purpose for His perfect Lamb. (If you’ve never read the 53rd chapter of Isaiah, you might be interested.) Jesus came to die for all of humanity that will eventually come to Him; and my own sin crucified Him. Isn’t it a bit arrogant for modern Jews to take backhanded credit for Christ’s death? Again, all mankind is both guilty of transgressing the Law of God, and due the payment for their transgression, the second death (aka, the lake of fire that is never extinguished, where satan and his followers all are cast.) If one is not born-again to new life in Him, whether Jew or Gentile, that destination is the same. That God placed eternity in the hearts of humanity, is certainly telling on how humans individually act out where Jesus Christ is concerned.

Bless You Friend,

Hey there, (name withheld) Thanks for reaching out… I’m just a little too busy to refute the illogic and idiocy in your specious email to me…To say nothing of the lack of empathy or compassion in your same craven email for the 32 military families at the mid and high level of the department of defense in Washington DC who came to US to help THEM… 24 for them being Jewish… And we DID assist them by forcing the department of defense and the US Marine Corps to pull down that repulsive and anti Semitic piece of crap within 24 hours of our specific demand that they do so!… (No need to say thank you to us… Just doing our civil rights advocacy jobs!)… However please do not refer to me as your “friend”… You and I or anything but…… now off you go, little sport… Mikey…

This will acknowledge receipt of your specious, sanctimonious & sectarian sermonizing. Most intelligent adults of all faiths learn early in life to respect those who speak professionally about deities (preaching) & those who speak personally to deities (praying) but never those who speak pompously for deities because mere mortals do not speak for divine deities.

It is recommended that you attempt to rationally reflect on the following worldly wisdom –

“That anyone would have the audacity to claim knowledge of God’s reasoning is ridiculous.” – Bob Schieffer (Dean of American television broadcasters, Face the Nation).

“Whoever imagines himself a favorite with God, holds other people with contempt. Whenever a man believes he has the exact truth from God, there is in that man no spirit of compromise. He has not the modesty born of the imperfections of human nature; he has the theological certainty  and the tyranny born of ignorant assurance.” – Robert G. Ingersoll (American military commander, writer, speaker & Republican leader).

“The truths of religion are never so well known as by those who have lost the power of reasoning.” – VOLTAIRE (Enlightenment Philosopher)

Brigadier General John Compere, US Army (Retired)
Disabled American Veteran (Vietnam Era)
Board Member, Military Religious Freedom Foundation (composed of 85% Christians)

You go to secular sources to tell someone well-versed in what the Bible says about Christianity about Christianity. Here’s food for thought:

“Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words. But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised. But he who is spiritual appraises all things, yet he himself is appraised by no one. For WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD, THAT HE WILL INSTRUCT H IM? But we have the mind of Christ.”
‭‭1 Cor‬ ‭2:12-16‬ ‭

There is a hell, John. Voltaire knows this. Christianity is a supernatural faith where the resurrected Jesus has a supernatural relationship with all who the Father has given to Him. I’m thankful I am His. Not “imagining [myself] a favorite with God,” just an adopted child. Are you born-again John, that odd the definition of a Christian. If 85% of the MRFF is composed of Christians, they never attend meetings for true Christians Do Not act out efforts that are of antiChrist nature.

MRFF the org. certainly does. It would be a negative correlation which a devoted servant of Jesus would not participate in.
Finally, bashing a Christian with words is Not the way to rid yourself of one.

    Hey name withheld,
You refer to Christ as “God’s perfect lamb,” but he was, by the good book’s own admission, a bastard child born out of wedlock, the result of an adulterous affair with another man’s wife perpetrated by God himself, against his own rules!
You also refer to the facts of history, I assume, by way of the Bible, which is certainly not an historical document by any stretch.
And the “transgressions” you refer to paints God as a tyrannical celestial dictator, a heavenly North Korea!
“If you don’t love me I’ll cast you into the lake of fire!” Kind of a mean fucker wouldn’t you say? Pretty insecure too!
So God says not to commit adultery, a mortal sin, and then knocks up another man’s wife!
Kind of a “do as I say” kind of guy isn’t he?
And he’s only been on vacation for two thousand years! I think he’s too ashamed to show his face after having killed every man, woman, and child on earth with the exception of eight!
Bunch of bullshit your spouting there!
There is no magical old white guy in the clouds named God. No ruler supreme, no heavenly dictator, and no more evidence for the Christian God than the evidence for Zeus, Poseidon, Hercules, Athena, Thor, et all, all 3000 or so other Gods that came before the Christian God!
You can spout Bible passages all day long, it doesn’t make it true!

As a taxpayer and a former Navy LT, I deeply resent this idiot LT Rivera holding my former rank. I think his commanding officer, the real one, not some other chaplain, should send him to a long “mission” to Antarctica. Being stupid must have a price.

How repulsive to see so many people assuming that the stories in the Bible(s) are historical fact, and then choosing to add plenty of spin to their interpretations of the scriptures so they can justify their anti-Jewish bigotry. Simple-minded, ugly hate is obvious, no matter how many words are used on the ironically-named ‘Christians for Truth’ website to dress up the hate in a thin veneer of scholarly legitimacy.

“Christians for Truth” is a dichotomy in and of itself! “Christians for Ignorance and Hypocrisy” would be a more fitting name!

    Schmucks!
