Hello Mr. Farrell: I wanted to share with you the news that I have recently been promoted to Colonel in the Army. This has been a lifetime dream that started with watching all of you characters on MASH. If only I had 1/10th of the charm of COL Potter to go with my ‘Bird’. Thank you again for your inspiration so long ago, and your continued work for MRFF.

I like Charles Winchester III only because he gave back to the bullying that Captain Hawkeye gave to him. I also like it when he didn’t take garbage from Major Houlihan and knock her down with his own verbal brand of smackdown. What I didn’t like about him was his snobbish, elitist, wealthy people attitude towards the rest of the American population with the way he treated Corporal Klinger and Radar O’Reilly. Without people like them at the bottom, wealthy people like Charles wouldn’t be at the top.

Major Burns was an incompetent person, but I didn’t like the way Hawkeye used him as a punching bag to relieve the tension of the war. That was bullying to me. I didn’t like Houlihan either. especially when she conspires with Burns to get rid of Henry Blake. Blake didn’t come to Korea of his own free will to command an Army medical unit.
