Broad Coverage of First Liberty’s Bible Verse Dog Tags Lawsuit Against Dept. of Defense — A Lawsuit Resulting from a Major 2019 MRFF Victory

Military Dog tags

In 2019, MRFF successfully got the Department of Defense (DoD) to follow its own regulations and disallow Christian jewelry company Shields of Strength from using official trademarked DoD military branch emblems on its Bible verse dog tags.

DoD regulations strictly prohibit the use of official trademarked DoD emblems on items that promote “ideological movements, sociopolitical change, religious beliefs (including non-belief), specific interpretations of morality, or legislative/statutory change.”

Now fundamentalist Christian legal organization First Liberty Institute, which is representing Shields of Strength, is claiming that the DoD’s regulations are unconstitutional and suing the DoD!

You really need to go away. The military is not issuing these. It is a civilian company. And if people request it let it be. The military was fine with it for years until some arrogant ass decided to complain.

R – the civilian company broke the law. Multiple times. So you are saying laws, rules, or regulations don’t matter?

    Nice call.

So – why did the DOD take so long to react? Could it be those who were charged with compliance were Christianists?

    Occam’s Razor says yes.

There is much work to do because the military of We The People has carried a lot of water for Christianists who believe the USA is a Christian nation.

Christianists should have learned to share.

Published recently 29% are religion free. We attended a blues festival a couple of years ago, huge crowd all old, sat in rapt attention to the christian underpinnings of the concert. All those old folks will be dead in ten years, with no replacements, yielding desperation by the Christians, and the behaviors like this in the military and civilian worlds. Thankfully Mikey while not perhaps understanding the source has led against the corruption of the military, but there is no one providing leadership on the civilian side. One can no longer watch sports on television on any network without getting Christian nonsense shoved up one’s petunia, for instance. This sickness is the desperation of the Christians acting out, to save the day when religious non-participation reaches 35%, then 40%…. Destruction of separation of church and state is the goal, while the Christian gods will tolerate any actions needed to extend its power. Funny thing, years ago I called Mikey late one evening, suggested to him he was needed in Washington.

The United States IS a Christian country

    Angela Manno,

And your receipts of your claim are where? Your evidence, your proof, law cases, anything besides your sincerely held belief?

Facts are facts. I won’t change Angela Manno‘s mind but I won’t allow their disinformation stand unchallenged.

The founding fathers lived through one theocracy and had no desire to foist that misery on their grand experiment.

Facts are facts. Truth is subjective.

Thank you commentator above for providing evidence as to why the MRFF allocates funds as they do.

    Your vitriol is noted.
