Dear Mikey: I write to you with greatest appreciation and admiration for the work of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation in removing swastikas and Nazi iconography from the gravestones of World War II German soldiers buried in American military cemeteries in Texas. While I was combatting the same problem in Salt Lake City, Utah, your organization’s simultaneous efforts spurred me on in the face of public apathy and an unanticipated and vicious counterattack from far-right extremists.  With the MRFF, I knew I had a comrade in arms who also saw the dangers we face today from those steeped in intolerance and ignorant of the lessons of history. Without organizations like the MRFF, the erosion of democracy, and particularly religious freedom, will be unchecked, with fearsome consequences.  Your success in Texas gave me the patience, courage, and persistence to continue my fight against bigotry to its just conclusion. Thank you again for standing up and counting in our fight to maintain our republic.

Best,

So basically you have absolutely nothing better to do with your time than disgrace the allegiance the “other side” pledged to. Literally the most disgusting and abhorrent act I have read about in the last twenty years. Are you so ignorant that you actually believe those soldiers chose that symbol to fight under. That was the symbol of the motherland they were attempting to protect, much like the U.S. flag the soldiers didn’t chose the symbol, they chose to fight. You are an absolute disgrace, you are the same low-life that enables the daily degradation of this country because your tender feeling get hurt by tweets that mean absolutely nothing in daily life. The best part is, you didn’t even include your name because you’re very aware that your actions are disgraceful!

Chris – names are withheld because of people like you.

A point – if the German soldier in the grave wasn’t ‘really’ a Nazi as you claim, then why are you upset that the Swastika on their gravestone is replaced?

    Just asking the question.

Sorry, what does this have to do with religion? I appreciate the moronic wokeness of it all though.
