Subject: Wreaths Across America

Mr. Weinstein,
Just read the article on Fox news.  I couldn’t agree with your take more.  I used to work for Maine Veteran Services as the surveyor/mapper for the state cemeteries.  I never looked forward to this event.People also to fail realize the tremendous effort in clean up and the amount(s) of non-biodegradable materials that end up in the land fills.  I could go on but I share your sentiment(s) besides religious considerations.
Best,

    How sad. Bitter too?

  2. Rachel Rawlings December 14, 2021 at 12:34 pm

    STOP! Please just STOP!!
First and foremost a wreath is not a Christian symbol. It is a way to show respect for those that are unable to spend the holidays (no matter how you celebrate) with their families. It is an incredibly beautiful sight to see these, and it makes me see the sacrifice these men and women paid for my freedom. So many families have been forced to spend their holidays without their family members, and seeing these wreaths brings that home to me as a civilian. Lets just stop seeking to find issues where there doesn’t need to be one. So many children join in these activities and its showing the younger generations to be respectful. So much of that is lost today.

I call BS…. Perhaps, Instead of complaining, offer a suggestion instead of using colorful language as you did? That seems like hate-speech against Christians…. So, Why not suggest a different color ribbon, for different religions if you have to make this about religion. (It never was. It was about honoring our Veterans.) but you could should suggest a Blue ribbon for our Jewish fallen, and different ones for other religions. They do sell Hanukkah wreaths…. Google it.. Be a part of the solution instead of causing ill-will, please. We Love Wreaths Across America and I hope they never stop. I will donate to them for the kind deeds and message THEY SEND.

  5. Matthew Auer December 14, 2021 at 12:43 pm

Hey Mikey you dam Jew . Why dont you find a nice high Bridge and take a swan dive off of it and rid the earth of trash like you. Seriously your going to Attack something wonderfull like wreathes on graves at christmas . I do it every year and its beautifull. If you dont like it than dont comment on it but dont write garbage. The problem right now is we have too many morons like you Sir and i use that term lightly that get offended by anything American or Christian and seek to change it or erase it. Go light your candle on your menorah and eat your matza and leave the rest of us that Believe in Christmas alone you jackass.

  6. John T Dalton December 14, 2021 at 12:46 pm

I completely agree with the above. I you want to advance your causes, please do. But do not do it by destroying things that are not meant in any way to to say thank you to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. May GOD, what ever God, that those who gave us their sacrifice bless them and let them know we appreciate all they gave. Wreath Across America does not do any of this to insult any one but it does appear that you do.

  7. Kenneth G Miller December 14, 2021 at 12:47 pm

News flash – the wreath is a symbol of respect; it is NOT meant to be some sort of non-Christian garbage that some folks are proclaiming it to be. It’s a symbol of respect and there’s nothing religious or the like about it – it’s a number of individuals who’re making a wreath into a ridiculous and downright dumb ‘big deal’ for some sort of ridiculous reason(s). Let’s take a moment to remember than countless members of the military gave their lives to make sure that we ALL have the right to whatever religious beliefs or lack of belief we want. To say otherwise is to diminish their sacrifices. And when many people from all walks of life, all nationalities, all religions, ethnicities etc. are taking the time to lay these wreaths in remembrance – to start screaming about such is just damned disrespectful and shameful. They don’t have to do so but they do to show that they care and to show respect. And considering that a wreath is laid at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and NO ONE screams about it or makes an issue of such? Pretty hypocritical those of you who’re ‘suddenly outraged’ by the wreaths. Folks, the wreath is to show respect, that’s all it is. Making a political stunt out of such is just damn disrespectful to those serving, those retired and to those who gave their lives in service.

  8. Mike December 14, 2021 at 12:57 pm

You are one of those miserable narcissist looking for the attention you never got!

  9. John December 14, 2021 at 12:57 pm

Listen up Mike. Your annual salarie is almost half of your supposed non-profits annual revenue. Your claim to be working 105 hours a week or 15 hours per day 7 days a week is laughable. Do you really think that’s believable? I hope your ignorance and hate stir up enough outrage to spark an investigation into your supposed non-profits finances because you appear to be as dirty as they come!

  10. J.Ripson December 14, 2021 at 12:57 pm

A man who makes half the total intake of his so call non profit is just trying to get headlines to make more money. I am asking the IRS to review this 503 (c) and for a full audit of this so called not for profit charity. Sure don’t see much out reach and charity other than warming the air around himself for notoriety sake. Hate comes in many packages, this is one of them. In WWII, Korea, Vietnam and on Christian ministers gave last rights to Jews, Muslims or anyone who asked. This has been a practice of chaplain for ages. Yet this guy is offended by a wreath, a non Christian symbol being placed on graves, wreaths originated from the Romans who hung wreaths on their doors as a sign of victory and of their status in society. So maybe captain want more money needs to learn history before he opens that wind bag again.

26 1/2 years US Army. This whole “MRFF” organization is a woke atheistic scam doing nothing but attacking our countries traditions. Wreaths are nothing more than a very thoughtful way of remembering the troops. As someone who will one day have one of these wreaths placed upon my grave, it gives a measure of comfort to know I will be remembered during the holidays.
Stop your ill informed attacks MRFF.

  13. Len December 14, 2021 at 1:09 pm

Why don’t you go screw yourself you pathetic AH. You are Jew and you are an insult to that group. Wreaths are not a symbol of a religion so shut the hell up you pathetic excuse of a Human being.

  14. Ralph B BELL December 14, 2021 at 1:13 pm

How disappointing is MRFO. Your leftist attitude is disappointing for anyone to say the wreaths are TOO CHRISTIAN. To associate your organization with the military is disgusting. And how many tours have you done.

  15. Brandon Lesco December 14, 2021 at 1:16 pm

Your organization is a disgrace. Stop all the hate, we don’t see you out in the graveyards celebrating these soldiers. All you do is criticize and ask for money. You bring shame to your uniform

  16. PD (gdof15) December 14, 2021 at 1:21 pm

It’s a wreath, moron. Not coercion or pressure to join a specific religion. Yeah this is exactly what we need to spend our time fighting. of course, it is classic unintelligent, moronic behavior.

  17. J December 14, 2021 at 1:28 pm

Well Mikey, looks like you are getting some very negative attention with the comments so far. Not surprising in the least. Time to shut your pie hole DA! OBTW, how about we talk about the fact you collected a $314000 salary from a non-profit that only took in $700000? How the hell do you sleep at night? You are a worthless scam and need to dissolve and go away! Oh, and hardly anyone works 105 hours per day every day of the year…wait, let’s make that NO ONE works that amount of hours! By opening your fly trap and starting this disgusting charade of crap, you will soon be unemployed!

  18. WreathsRAwesome December 14, 2021 at 1:35 pm

You guys are such idiots. The wreath isn’t a Christian symbol, get a clue woke asshole. It is, although, a very beautiful show of respect during the holidays for the departed. Let’s Go, Brandon!

  19. Marc December 14, 2021 at 1:36 pm

Never heard a wreath was a symbol of Christianity. I think the MRFF could better spend their time and resources helping active and veteran military members in other ways than fighting people putting wreaths on graves. Just seems misguided to me.

  20. George McClennen December 14, 2021 at 1:40 pm

Sad to use the expression “Christian Gang Symbol”. I agree that such is hate speech. It is an effort to draw attention and presumably donations to your organization. Attacking people who seem to care more for the military servants that enabled America to be standing here today, than your org appears to care, by leaps and bounds, IS what is wrong today in our culture. Attack. Attack. and Self Promote…… I did not research your filing to verify if your salary is in fact near half your donations but if such is true that is appalling.

  21. MikeySucks December 14, 2021 at 1:42 pm

Wreaths on gravestones are a beautiful gesture. LMAO 700K revenue and 340K salary. What a joke. 100hr a week my ass. Someone audit this guy. Get fukked Mikey. I’m Jewish BTW

  22. S. Porter December 14, 2021 at 1:53 pm

As a retired Army officer with well over 25 years dedicated to serving our beloved country and protecting the rights of freedom for all Americans, you have the right to an opinion as do the others who have given theirs above. What I am troubled with…my opinion…is those who have one of these wreaths laid on their place of rest have no say nor opinion either way. The wreath that is laid is a symbol of respect and peace for those who have fallen. If those interred had an opinion, they would feel honored. If the family of the deceased don’t like the wreath or feel their religion may be offended, simply remove the wreath. This childish rhetoric of yours has no place in honoring our heroes.

  23. Jerry Moody December 14, 2021 at 2:04 pm

It’s always the NON-christians who like to cause trouble. I think you enjoy it. Making things a downer for everyone. Stop pushing your agenda on others. A wreath is not a christian symbol. anyway. Don’t you have better things to do? Evidently not!

  24. Just Me December 14, 2021 at 2:05 pm

I am a proud atheist with pagan wreaths on my front door… all wreaths are pagan (or, non-denominational if you like). I also volunteer for Wreaths Across America. You should come to a local Wreaths Across America event to experience the reverence and honor given to the fallen. Plenty of people take issue with Thanksgiving traditions Halloween traditions, and you took issue with a harmless tradition to honor veterans.

The only people agreeing with you are those who clean up the cemeteries. Maybe I will volunteer to help with that too.

Why go on Fox News? You know they are just trying to get people angry because they profit off anger. What were you thinking? How much did they pay you to be a dick on TV?

  25. Jack Meoff December 14, 2021 at 2:20 pm

314K salary? Nice money laundering operation you have going.

  26. Chuck December 14, 2021 at 2:30 pm

hey Mikey time to educate yourself the Wreath serves as more than one belief. The U.S. Flag also serves more than one belief

Here is the link to the wreaths meaning’s
    https://www.reference.com/world-view/christmas-wreath-symbolize-d803d208fb46e907

and here is the link the U.S. Flag’s meaning’s

    https://www.colonialflag.com/symbolism-of-the-red-white-and-blue/

based on your own comments about the wreath they also apply to the U.S. Flag. so on days where the U.S. Flag is place on every grave at the national cemeteries it also represents “Carpet Bombing”

As for the person who’s name was withheld from Maine the wreath just like Christmas trees can be recycled into mulch but that person wanted to lump their belief into cleanup reasons. Still does not fly with me.

Now here is a snippet from the link I posted about the Wreath – The modern Christmas wreath symbolizes eternity, an unending circle of life, growth and everlasting life. The wreath also symbolizes a welcoming and open environment to acknowledge the holiday season and add warmth to a home or business at Christmas time. Now there is a religious meaning as well but there are symbols on those wreaths. now read about the U.S. Flag I guess your organization should be also attacking the placing of U.S. Flags at the service members grave site as well and is nothing more than “Carpet Bombing” of a Christian Religion. Get real you know you are just doing it to draw attention to yourself and crappy organization. Funds must be drying up and you need George Soros to donate money to help pay your Salary.

  27. GrumpyVet December 14, 2021 at 2:46 pm

    Weinstein, you are a POS

  28. M.Young December 14, 2021 at 2:52 pm

You pathetic, ungrateful, sob’s. A Christmas Wreath:is NOT a Christian gang symbol- How dare you spread your raciest, religious hate. My husband gave his life for America:, to defend your freedom…shame on you, I guess we can’t expect any better from Communist demoRATS.

  29. Ed December 14, 2021 at 3:06 pm

As a Jewish veteran of the Gulf War, you do us a great dishonor and give rise to the moronic grossly anti-Semitic comments above. I’m an actual observant Jew who will be buried in a military cemetery. I don’t care if someone lays a wreath on my grave. It’s a token of honor, not a religious statement. Just stop. Please, just stop.

May God bless and save everyone at MRFF this Christmas Holyday.

  31. Larry December 14, 2021 at 3:42 pm

You complete fucking moron. You obviously are trying to line your pockets with more free money. Wreaths are a symbol of respect to honor those that gave their life. Wreaths are used by the military during memorial day events. You are one real mother fucking piece of shit. Move out of the USA you asshole.

  32. Albers Terri December 14, 2021 at 3:56 pm

    Mikey,
REALLY?!? 314,000 is your salary?!? AND you work 105 hours a week?!? HA, HA, HA, HA That leaves 9 hours a day for sleeping, bathing, eating, errands, grocery shopping, house cleaning, home/yard maintenance, paying bills, taking care of family, driving time for the different activities, any hobbies, nonwork emails, phone calls, texts, and the list can go on!!! Your not a truthful person Mikey, but you are a trouble maker. Let the families take care of their loved ones. You are not the cemeteries over-lord! Find something that you could actually be successful in doing. I can’t imagine there is $314,000 worth of complaints about wreaths on graves!

  33. Thomas Abbott December 14, 2021 at 3:57 pm

From the looks of it this organization is A complete fraud and I do believe the one man complaining about land wreaths at the deceased of American veterans is a fraud and should be ashamed of himself because Aretha is not Christianity. I sure will be laying wreath at Fort Logan national cemetery on Saturday, December 18 not only for my family members that are buried there but also for the fallen that I’ve served this country with honors. For anyone that supports and organization like this should be ashamed of themselves. And I guarantee one thing sir my family members and their fellow brothers and sisters that are buried beside them and their family members truly thank me and my wife for doing so. The true Americans honor the American soldiers died or perished for keeping our freedom.

  34. john M Damico December 14, 2021 at 4:01 pm

You picked wreaths across America to attack. Well that will justify your salary. Haha. And you won’t get any place either. I’ll be placing them again this year. You’re obviously a con man

  35. Kelsey December 14, 2021 at 4:25 pm

You should be ashamed of your self. Trying to turn a good thing into something bad. Would you rather the graves lay bare? People perform a service out of kindness and some idiot tries to take it away. You are what is wrong with this country today. I bet you make your mama proud.

  36. Keith M. December 14, 2021 at 5:03 pm

    Hello Folks,

As an American that served this Great Country for almost 30 years, I am appalled at your attack on Wreaths Across America. Your opinion that Wreaths Across America is carpet-bombing cemeteries with the wreaths they lay on my fellow veteran’s graves as Christian gang signs is so un-American. All these people are trying to do is say thank you to the less than one percent of Americans that serve our Nation.

Please find a worthy cause that is worth your time, not one that disrespects my fallen brothers in arms. Leave the American people honor our vets.
