“All three of MRFF’s [military branch withheld] clients on this matter, none of whom are Christians, were delighted and relieved to hear that you will be removing the bible tomorrow morning and wanted me to also extend their profound gratitude, sir!”

The world is in utter chaos while simultaneously experiencing a massive humanitarian crisis, the worst presidential administration to date, with the most incompetent leaders available, an uncertain future… but MRFF got a bible removed from one table somewhere in the world. Really puts in perspective how worthless MRFF and its ambitions/efforts are to the human race and global community as a whole. If MRFF vanished tomorrow, nobody would notice or care.
You idiots should be absolutely embarrassed and mortified to brag about something so insignificant in these current times. Find something better to do, go actually help someone with something that actually matters.
Well said. MRFF doesn’t appear to me to represent religious freedom at all, but the removal or cleansing of any reference to religion, despite the Oath taken by all military personnel ending in “So help me God”. I pray God will enlighten you to what religious freedom means and it’s not your version of freedom FROM religion. May God save your soul from the lost and wandering by His grace and bring you joy and inner peace by knowing Him.
Two brilliant examples of why it’s so important to reinstate Civics classes in school. Neither commentator understands the First Amendment provides for the freedom from religion just as it protects one’s right to worship as they see fit.
No where in the Constitution does it say anyone is allowed to force anyone else to worship as they do. Better bring receipts if you disagree with this fact because I know the facts are on my side.
MRFF protects the rights of military personnel from Christian Nationalist bullies. Their effort to keep the USA military secular as it was intended is a Herculean effort which every one of their clients appreciates.
The two commentators above embarrass themselves with their lack of facts. For example, not everyone uses the phrase ‘So help me deity’ when taking an oath.
@Grey One Talks Sass
No ma’am, you actually embarrass yourself by missing the point that was made in the first post. MRFF is busy using its resources, time, and donation money to remove a bible from a table, while other organizations in the world are focused on more noble and helpful deeds such as humanitarian aid. How anyone could make a contribution to your organization knowing that their dollars are going to the removal of one bible on one table… is beyond me. The point had nothing to do with the First Amendment and everything to do with how shitty of an organization MRFF is in comparison to other non-profits… but you’d be able to put that together if you removed your head from Mikey’s ass and wiped the residue from your eyes. How does it feel to be the only non-member on the board that vehemently defends Mikey?… asking for a friend.
@ RabbiJoelStillanAsshole,
You pick the most juvenile names. Are you twelve?
To you it’s one holy book of the Christian faith. To you shouldn’t the MRFF being doing ‘great’ works?
By your own admission many others are doing those great works you seem so keen to push and yet not one word of what is actually being done. Seems dodgy.
Yeah, to you it’s one book. To me and others it’s a symbol of repression, used as a weapon which is totally at odds with the message of the hero in the second half.
If, say, the world goes inside out and allows religion control of the military, which denomination is in control?
You think that your particular flavor of faith would automatically be in charge? Really? Why? Because your Voice of Authority aka your pastor said you and yours were special precious packages of gawd and you’d rule the earth after the rapture?
What makes you think you were the only one told they were special precious? Every pastor who pushes the End Times Variety Showe and Review says the same thing to their congregation. And that’s just in the IFB circle of churches.
The USA is lousy with churches, in my town there are 7 in a four block radius, all purporting to have the One Twue Way!!! And no two share denomination.
(Deep breath because presenting facts to the stupid is a task performed for the betterment of the next reader, as the stupid don’t know they are stupid)
To avoid the kerfluffle surrounding all religion everyone in the military is allowed to worship as they see fit but once out and about they better button it up. Public life is secular.
This issue is all about the First Amendment. I base by reputation as a Fair Witness upon my statement. And for the record, there is no more honorable task than defending the Constitution and Bill of Rights.
By the way, you’ve got something… there… maybe check yourself? Is that a log? Looks brown, whatever.
