MRFF,
Thank you for the great help in responding to our (military branch name withheld) Section Chief’s attempt to have the American flag located outside of our HQ Building here at (name of military installation withheld) lowered at half staff this coming Good Friday “in honor of the Easter blood sacrifice of our savior Jesus Christ” as our boss told us he planned to do.
Our local MRFF rep. put us in touch with Mikey Weinstein who then immediately made some phone calls up our chain of command and our Section Chief was formally counseled and the flag will not be lowered.
There are 26 of us in our Section who comprise the group which asked for MRFF’s help and 17 of us are Christians. I am not. I am Jewish which the Section Chief like to always call me “one of the Chosen” which angers me and my colleagues. Mikey Weinstein got that stopped as well.
Thank you for successfully fighting for us on this unfortunate matter.

Who is this lunatic who thinks that he has the authority to lower any United States flag to half staff for any purpose other than one directly authorized by the President of the United States? A section chief did this? Obviously one who never paid attention in a civics class. Talk about failing up. It just never ends with these loons, does it? It’s like bailing water out of a boat that keeps having holes blown in its keel. I don’t know how you do it, Mikey. Well, I do, actually. You’re the only one who can, given the current state of our military and their feckless cowardice in holding these dominionists accountable for their egregious violations of both the letter and the spirit of our laws and regulations. You’re doing yeoman’s work, my friend, that’s for certain. My hat’s off to you and yours in your unceasing battle against the willfully stupid. It would drive me to drink.

Why the hell aren’t you pushing against the Muslim prayers on duty and the religious discrimination for beards for Sikh and Muslims but not Christian?????

When Muslims and Sikh’s push for their religious holiday trappings to be sold in a Military Hospital then please let the MRFF know.
Do you know, Rick, that you described people of those faiths practicing their faith. Just like you insist Christians get to do – and if you tell me your faith demands your specific religious trinkets be sold during your religious holiday then do I have a story for you about your Lord and Savior and a certain temple.
