Congressman Mike Turner

Christian nationalist GOP Congressman Mike Turner of Ohio, has introduced an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for FY 2024 designed to shut MRFF down. Turner’s amendment, PASSED last week by the GOP-led House Armed Services Committee, would make it ILLEGAL for Department of Defense personnel to even communicate with MRFF!

If this amendment remains in the final bill, it will become LAW, specifically it will become part of Title 10 of the U.S. Code, also known as the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ). This means that if a military commander even responds to an email from MRFF, or makes any decision as a result of being contacted by MRFF, that commander can be charged with violating the UCMJ and potentially face a court-martial!

As I’ve discovered recently it is one thing to pass legislation and another to defend it in a court of law.

Christian Nationalist GOP (but I repeat myself) Congressman Turner can bring bill after bill supporting their specific bias to the floor and all their Nationalist Christian colleagues will do the bobble head approval. That doesn’t mean the bill is Constitutional.

I look forward to watching this case as it plays out on the legal field.

I hope MRFF is shut down. To me they are nothing more than an athiest organization trying to get GOD out of everything and everywhere. No better than the ACLU. Just my opinion of course

Spot on Jim. couldnt agree more. Its pitiful. Majority of people would agree. Good riddance to them when they dissolve in a few months. Mickey is gonna have to flip burgers at DQ

In another thread I mentioned the overwhelming urge of Nationalist Christians to fantasize about anyone they disagree with in situations of degradation and harm. The trolls above are exhibits one and two, submitted for your review.

Funny how this guy above states his opinion one time, in one post, and hes automatically labelled a troll because you disagree. In reality, YOU are the troll.

Oh come on man, it’s not the number of comments, it’s the context.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. They are not entitled to their own facts.

MRFF is NOT an Atheist organization, in fact many of the amazing volunteers are Christian, just not the sort recognized by Nationalist Christians.

And if I’m being tuned out how come there are so many comments from trolls addressing exactly what I’ve said?

Critical thinking is not a troll super power, just saying…

Jim, when all religion is banned from the Public Square the responsibility will lay entirely at the feet of Nationalist Christians (Nat-C’s).

Nat-C’s could have shared the public space but nooooo! It’s their way or death (so binary!). In the USA, if one faith is represented then all must be included, that’s the intent (and text) of our Constitution.

Don’t like it? What is it the Nat-C’s have shouted at me over the years? Oh yeah, “Don’t like it? Then leave.”

    For the record, per the Urban Dictionary;

    Troll

    1a. Noun
One who posts a deliberately provocative message to a newsgroup or message board with the intention of causing maximum disruption and argument.

    1b. Noun
A person who, on a message forum of some type, attacks and flames other members of the forum for any of a number of reasons such as rank, previous disagreements, sex, status, ect.
A troll usually flames threads without staying on topic, unlike a “Flamer” who flames a thread because he/she disagrees with the content of the thread.

    1c. Noun
A member of an internet forum who continually harangues and harasses others. Someone with nothing worthwhile to add to a certain conversation, but rather continually threadjacks or changes the subject, as well as thinks every member of the forum is talking about them and only them. Trolls often go by multiple names to circumvent getting banned.

Amazingly the trolls who drop by here fit all three categories. It’s as if they studied.

    Jim,
If you believe the MRFF is an atheist organization, then you have a problem with reading and comprehension.

MRFF will NOT be shut down, too many supporters (Christian).

Mike Turner’s amendment to the NDAA (which will get changed many times in the months ahead), is so stupid, it names the MRFF, a single organization, without consideration that all the MRFF has to do is change their name!

You said, “getting God out of everything and everywhere?” Doesn’t that kind of define the all powerful creator of the Universe?

Are you saying MRFF is more powerful than God?

I’m not sure you’re using your God-given faculties!
