Christian nationalist Rep. Mike Turner’s amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) to SHUT MRFF DOWN by making it ILLEGAL for members of the military to even communicate with MRFF is now part of the GOP-led House’s version of the NDAA, WHICH HAS BEEN PASSED BY THE WHOLE HOUSE WITH TURNER’S DESPICABLE, VINDICTIVE, AND UNCONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT STILL IN IT!!!
If Turner’s amendment is allowed to remain in the final, bicameral version of the NDAA, it will obliterate MRFF’s ability to protect and advocate on behalf of our service members facing religious discrimination, harassment, and aggressive proselytizing!

Richard, welcome to the party pal. MRFF has been sounding the alarm about Nationalist Christians for a long time. Yes, familiar tactics are being used but here’s the thing – when one’s opponent is predictable their actions can be used against them.
I know right now is scary because Nationalist Christians are pushing attacks on all the mountains they claimed dominion over back in the day. It seems hopeless and it will be if We The People adopt the attitude of why fight.
We fight because we are Americans. It’s what we do. We fight with each other, we fight other nations… it’s in our blood and it drenches our history.
Our Constitution guarantees each person in our country rights because it’s the correct thing to do for the betterment of humanity. I fight to defend my country, it’s why I’ll never give into the theocrats. The founding fathers saw through those power hungry Pharisees and basically said nope, you shall not pass.
According to the Nationalist Christians the fact I exist is an affront to their carefully held religious beliefs. The fact the theocrats are trying to outlaw my existence based on their religious beliefs means they started this fight. I mean to end it. It is the American way.
Rachel Maddow is a dumb cunt with permanent TDS and abysmal ratings. Melissa Etheridge wouldnt touch it with a 10 ft double dildo, even if she came to her window. Keep pushing that Russia collusion narrative dummy, makes you look extra smart. If you fan girl Rachel Maddow, youre the lowest bottom feeder in the Ocean.
So, Grey One, how do we fight? Am I taking about physical battle?
In a way, yes, physically We The People must use the tools at our disposal. Specifically I’m talking about participating in one’s local government, doing what one can according to their abilities.
Me? I’m lucky if I get a good day two or three times a week. The rest I’m paralyzed by nerve pain which gives me copious amounts of time to think processes through. Y’all know your limits, be kind to yourself but if you’ve got the energy and time then checking out local opportunities is how we effectively ensure the Nationalist Christians stay on their side of the First Amendment.
And vote. Every election. It’s the least We The People can do to keep our nation on an even keel.

Education, really, is the key. And of course, you can’t convey knowledge and understanding, or learn from others, without dialogue, preferably civil discussion. Especially today given the legislative action to stifle education in some States.
I believe education is abysmal in the United States if world rankings in math, reading, and science are indicators. Couple that with religious-based initiatives to ban books, erase history, and move public money into private Christian education (Betsy Devos), and you have a recipe for national disaster.
As vehemently opposed to religion as I am, on a personal level, I stand by the rights of others, as most in this forum do, to believe as you wish. Your beliefs are just that, yours! But when you bring it into the public square and push your religion on others, it’s on!
And fight we will!
One of the easiest things to do is write to your legislators. Call their offices, local, State, and National. They work for you!
Tell them you’re opposed to Rep Mike Turner’s amendment to the NDAA that targets the MRFF. Tell them you will advise young people NOT to join the military if Turner’s amendment makes it through intact. It takes all of five minutes.
The MRFF has made it easy to send a letter to your representatives. Sign it and get your friends to sign it.
