Update on NDAA Amendment to Shut MRFF Down: Marjorie Taylor Greene on Committee to Decide MRFF’s Fate!

Under normal circumstances, the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) would have been passed by September 30, the last day of the government’s fiscal year, but with our Congress in complete disarray, this year’s NDAA is not surprisingly still far from the finish line — leaving the fate of MRFF still hanging in the balance.
Here’s where things currently stand …
Christian nationalist Rep. Mike Turner’s amendment to SHUT MRFF DOWN by making it ILLEGAL for members of the military to communicate with MRFF is in the House’s version of the NDAA.
The Senate also passed its own version of the NDAA, which does not contain any language regarding MRFF.
A conference committee made up of both House and Senate members now needs to reconcile the two bills, which is where Turner’s amendment to SHUT MRFF DOWN must be removed!
The House has appointed its conference committee members, among whom is that paragon of civility and bipartisanship MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE!
The Senate has yet to appoint its conference committee members.
If Turner’s amendment is allowed to remain in the final version of the NDAA and becomes law, it will obliterate MRFF’s ability to protect and advocate on behalf of our service members facing religious discrimination, harassment, and aggressive proselytizing!

I hear a new bill is making its way through the House, and I’m hearing it was sponsored by none other than Jim Jordan.
H.R. 5666, the SNL Fairness Act, is designed to prevent Dementia Donald from becoming Speaker of the House! Well, that’s not the way it’s written, but that’s what it means.
I think secretly, it’s because Jim Jordan would sell his own mother for the job and doesn’t want the competition from Donald, but it’s being touted as a non-interference bill to keep Government from interfering with private business.
In short, they’re afraid that if Donald becomes Speaker of the House, it’ll put Saturday Night Live right out of business! And contrary to what you may think, Republicans watch SNL! They especially like Alec Baldwin as Trump! Laughed their asses off!
SNL wouldn’t even begin to compare with the hilarity in the House with Daffy Donald as Speaker!

The hilarious calamity of Daffy Donald as Speaker would definitely put comedians on their heels! Forget the writers strike, C-SPAN ratings would go through the roof covering the gaffes and mis-cues, lack of protocol, and general disarray as the Man-Baby tried to preside over Congress!

AllRiseForSpeakerTrump is delusional. As I understand the phrase “talks shit” it implies spreading falsehoods to advance one’s point. As the MRFF has only precisely reported MTG’s own words I’m not sure how that meets the metric.
As the Senate removed Rep Turners’ poison pill it is my hope that it remains removed.
As I travel through the interwebz I’ve kept this issue at the top of my “be observant” list. Several blogs by very good lawyers informed me that specifically calling out the MRFF violates MRFF’s First Amendment Rights.
In these times of contention I am eternally grateful for an opponent who continues to shoot themselves and allies in various inconvenient body parts. As Sun Tzu advised, when one’s opponent is busy removing themselves from the battlefield, let them.

Many of the dead in Israel were not Jewish nationalists – they were promoting Palestinian rights. Commenting on stuff you know nothing about just makes you look ignorant.

All you have to do is look up the particular settlements that were attacked and learn who lives there. Many of the people who live in those settlements were actively promoting just solutions to the conflict and Palestinian statehood. Not everyone in Israel is a Jewish nationalist. I’m not into Israel or Zionism, but I can recognize bigoted stereotypes- and they’re wrong no matter who is targeted by them.
