“I don’t care if those who read this believe me to be a coward or hero. That is not the point. The crux of the matter I wanted to say was that the MRFF is 100% correct when it states that Christian extremism exists all throughout the DoD. And I say that as a weekly, church-going Christian myself and nephew of a well known Christian pastor who also, by the way, supports what I am revealing here..”

“For many years I wanted to get something like this down in writing and we finally had a senior active duty flag officer who sent a message

This is the degree to which people are in the military and the national security agencies [are terrified] to come forward with a complaint about being illicitly harassed or bullied.”

Hero or not, it’s incredibly brave to write the letter you did, letter writer.

I have some experience in the theatre. I mention this because in your letter you talk about how you’d prefer to be up front, which is consistent with being a warrior. That said, to use the theatre metaphor, not everyone can be on stage. Someone has to move the sets, make sure actors are in place for their cues, and to keep track of not only the stage but the house and outer lobby as well. Everyone has a part to play even if the audience never sees their face.

Thank you for validating what I know I suspected to be true – pretty sure some of the other commentators and contributors knew already. Still, validation is valuable. Again, thanks.

Who would think that a senior flag officer would have to worry about career implications of their words or positions, but having worked for the military for 38+ years, I realize I’m the one being naive. “Senior” words and positions are even more relevant given the immediate effect they have on combat
readiness and unit cohesion, the ultimate goal, particularly, of a senior flag officer.
Agree with Scott’s words, with the benefit being that you’ve recognized the threat the Christianization of our military imposes and……you’re still in the fight!
    Good on ya Sir/Madam!

Another of many victories for Mikey and the MRFF, true Constitutional warriors! Mikey is a combat force multiplier in terms of separation of personal religious beliefs and military capability.

    Oorah!

I can understand why the senior officer wasn’t going to risk his career in the open; however, I still don’t like it when people like him don’t protect whistleblowers in both the private and public sectors nor are they going to fall on their swords; otherwise, we wouldn’t be in the mess today we went into Vietnam, Iraqi, and Afghanistan with no justification and no hope of victory..
