MRFF Demands Removal of Bible and Christian Nationalist Poster Created by U.S. Navy Historian from Buffalo VAMC POW/MIA Table Display
A group of 11 veterans of various religions (including two Christians) and no religion has sought MRFF’s help to get a Christian Bible and a poster depicting a Christian Bible removed from the POW/MIA table display at the Buffalo, New York, VA Medical Center.
The offending poster, showing a Bible with a large Christian cross as one of the table’s items, was created by the U.S. Navy’s official Naval History and Heritage Command and explains the presence of the Bible on the table in the language of Christian nationalism:
“The Bible represents faith in a higher power and the pledge to our country, founded as one nation under God.”
But that’s not the worst part of the poster. That distinction goes to the tag line under the title “The POW/MIA Table,” which says:
“A Place Setting For One, A Table For All”
No, U.S. Navy historian, a POW/MIA table with a Christian Bible on it is most certainly NOT “A Table For All”

In the Christian and Jewish cases, the “higher power” knocks up the 12 year old virgin wife of another man, against his own Commandments, to give himself a sacrifice to himself for the redemption of his own creation. Although, “sacrifice” is inappropriate in terms of what he orchestrated for himself before ascending back into Heaven, all planned if you believe the story. He never “died,” it was just a downtime weekend! A little break from walking on water and feeding the masses with a couple of fish and a few loves of bread.
The concept of original sin, for which the God-in-human-form was redemptively given, a moot point given that we’re all descendants of Noah’s family of eight, if you believe the story. Given the timeline, and the building of the pyramids, Noah’s family were busy little beavers given 9 month gestations for re-populating the Earth in time to do anything, much less build pyramids!
This country was NOT founded as “one nation under God!” A 1953 invention under Eisenhower to counter the perceived Soviet Communist Godless threat!
Not a mention of “God” in the Constitution, the treaty of Tripoli clearing spelling out that the U.S. was NOT founded as a Christian nation.
A Bible on the POW/MIA table a later addition and one NOT representative of the diversity in our military.
Quite frankly, I’d be happy with only Christians being allowed to serve in the military. Let them go fight the fucking wars they start!

You can have as many guns as you want but, in my world, I’d damn sure know who you are and what you’re doing with those guns! Mandatory gun owner insurance. Registration of all firearms.

My son was in and out of several health care facilities for a severe trauma received in an accident.
Of all the facilities, he was cared for in one facility by a Hispanic transvestite and his gay Hispanic boyfriend. These two, as a team, provided my son the best care he ever received, bar none, one facility in Houston being a world-class model system for trauma care that couldn’t compete with these two dedicated and caring souls.
