The take-away for me in this message is that we all stand on the shoulders of great folks, Patriots, that have come before us. Those that believe in our military, our Nation, and our Democracy.

As I was reminded recently, warriors come in all shapes and sizes. Every action taken, even if not on the field of battle, is in defense of our country. I honor their gifts and talents and lament their sometimes tragically early departure from this mortal coil.
