Dear Mikey,
I want to take a moment to thank you for your unabashedly dynamic care for the religious freedoms of every United States Service Member. Your passion is truly a gift to Service Members and their Families, especially in this turbulent season when our constitution and democracy are being threatened.
Thank you for always answering the phone, for listening and for giving a voice to the voiceless. MRFF helps Service Members speak truth to power when it’s needed the most. As an active duty Christian chaplain, I know that you are available anytime myself or a Service Member needs a little help discerning our next steps and our rights.
Again thank you for all you do!
Sincerely,
CH (Rank and Name Withheld)

Amen to the Chaplain’s words, but we do need secular humanists in the Chaplain Corps!
Time for a new paradigm, especially with the exponential rise of “Nones” in our society and reflected in our military.
Support the MRFF! Needed now more than ever!
Amazing a chaplain is thanking MRFF when you think that chaplains and priests would be actually doing the Lord’s work in eliminating bigotry and hate in this work even within their own dioceses.
Rather than eliminate chaplains I suggest we flood the zone, or words to that effect.
I want to see equal representation. If there are x number of chaplains for a specific denomination then I want the same number for the rest. As there are well over a hundred denominations and faiths/no faiths recognized by the DOD, the Chaplain Corp will be expanded to reflect our varied and diverse troops.
Why do I believe this won’t happen? Because it spreads the power one chaplain holds over many to many over one. Of course it won’t happen. Those who hold power for too long must be forced out of their comfort zone. As I’m told often when forced to accept something I just would rather not, it’s for my own good.
By the by – thank you letter writer for standing up for what is correct. Not many in your position have done so – I understand the peer pressure is insanely heavy. I commend your bravery.
