Melanie Hart (Atlantic Council) testified before the Senate saying, “we should steal China’s best AI talent to keep pace,” admitting we are way behind and threatened if you have an enlarged amygdala – desperation sinking in.
The Christian fascists are running the show. And their race-to-the-bottom is palpable.
Turning outward, not inward, is America’s recipe for success. Will Trump be impeached? Depends on how long it takes them to figure out smoking is bad for you!

About all those trans women playing women’s sports: New NCAA policy forbids trans women in women’s sports. Trump made such a big deal about a huge tide of trans women and girls taking over certain sports, which caused a huge ground swell of opposition against trans women and girls. The actual numbers from a Reuters article are very interesting:
“The change affects only a small number of athletes. National Collegiate Athletic Association President Charlie Baker told a Senate panel in December he was aware of fewer than 10 transgender athletes among the 530,000 competing at 1,100 member schools.”
TEN! And he didn’t say how many were trans women and how many were trans men. What a huge tide…

Trump wants manufacturing here in the U.S. but he doesn’t have the base to support manufacturing jobs even if he could increase manufacturing. The FBI, “Friends, Brothers, and In Laws” method of recruiting for those positions are at their limit. 70% of manufacturing jobs white, and 70% male. Without DEIA, you have no capability to produce – you don’t have the work force.
The other issue is “producing” a product that other countries have a comparative advantage in producing. Why would you produce Nike tennis shoes when you can get them produced cheaper in another country? The whole purpose of trade is to allow this country to focus resources on those things that only we can produce – because it’s newer technology – or that have sensitive national security interests like military hardware and equipment, and break through technologies (the internet comes to mind, GPS satellites, et al.).
The one thing we know, for a fact, that MAGA is capable of producing is hysteria over non issues like God, Prayer in Schools, the Ten Commandments, little Johnny turning into Jane, and Haitians eating your dogs! While the rest of the world moves on with massive investment in education and training, technological development, growing partnerships around the world, creating allies (BRICS), and “Deleting America!”

The Pentagon added China’s CATL to its Chinese Military Companies (CMC) list banning over 134 companies from doing business here in the U.S. for military applications. Do they know what they’re doing? I dunno, ask a Fox Entertainment host. I’m sure Pete can tell you! :-)
CATL has 1/3 of the world’s battery market. Ford has already rushed in to secure a license agreement to produce CATL batteries in Michigan, Tennessee and Kentucky, for their rush to catch up, their current stock price at a whopping $9.23, P/E ratio of 6.2. Pretty much a futile effort. Stellantis (Puegot/Jeep) already filed for bankruptcy in China, not far off here at home, stock price at $12.94. GM holding up – for now – until they get pushed out of the Chinese market, unable to compete with Chinese EVs. Having made Billions in the Chinese market for years, the chickens have come home to roost. GM can’t compete on the world stage without its Chinese market, period.
Tesla uses CATL batteries. The Orange man has halted the installation of battery charging stations across the country as part of Biden’s infrastructure bill. Not because it makes any sense, but because Biden did it! But not before Tesla received $31 million of tax payer money for the effort, along with other U.S. companies, now on hold while Donnie Boy gets his diaper changed.

That good Christian company Tesla, run by a good Christian man Elon, taking a beating all over Europe! What’s wrong with those Europeans? Tesla sales down 63%? That can’t be right.
I don’t get it! He’s doing such great things here at home! Getting rid of government employees, you know, “waste,” getting rid of government agencies, saving us money so we can pay more for eggs.
I think they must all be on drugs or something in Europe. Well, they are free. They’re all having to live with that free health care. Can’t be as good as ours. Everyone knows you always get better health care when you have to take out a loan to pay for it! You know, you get what you pay for.
I think Elon’s going to Social Security on Monday. Get rid of it! Who needs it? Get rid of Medicare and Medicaid too! Especially food stamps. Hell, we won’t care how high the price of eggs go. We’ll all be rich! Getting rid of the Dept of Education. That’s an improvement. Get the kids in private schools run by business people. Run it like a business, grades will go way up. And the kids will finally get to pray in school. No more of that woke separation of church and state stuff. Will get to have Bible studies again, grades are gonna improve a lot!
