MRFF’s Pressure and Media Attention Force Air Force Academy to Grant Muslim Cadets Religious Accommodation for Training Event During Ramadan
As we previously reported, the U.S. Air Force Academy yet again displayed its blatant disregard for non-Christian cadets by not only scheduling its CULEX (culminating exercise), an extremely physically demanding multi-day training exercise, during Ramadan but then denying Muslim cadets any religious accommodation, forcing them to either choose between their religion and training or risk their health and safety by attempting to complete the training while fasting from both food and water.
But after pressure from MRFF — including taking the story to Colorado Springs’ largest newspaper — the Academy reversed course!
As one Muslim cadet wrote in an update to MRFF:
“Our concerns were not addressed until external pressure was applied, leading to feelings of isolation and frustration among Muslim cadets.”

I’d argue that the American Psychological Association ought to recognize Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) as an actual delusion and it should be defined as such in an addendum to the DSM-5. Unfortunately (for Eichorn, that is), TDS would actually be defined as “The lasting delusional belief that Donald J. Trump is doing or has done a good job for the American people. This delusion is characterized by a persistent belief that Trump is acting for anyone’s interests but his own and that he has the capability to ‘Make America Great Again’ despite the fact that neither he nor the person afflicted with TDS can define what a ‘Great’ America would be or when the country lost its greatness.”

As a mid-level government manager, I wanted everything I could put on autopilot to be on autopilot, freeing up time to work on the “where we’re going” vision part of the organization, deployment scheduling, exigencies, operational planning, etc.
I think I was pretty successful at it and I did it through empowering employees to make decisions without interference. In practical terms, if I needed to weigh in on every decision, then I didn’t need the employees and would have failed miserably, kind of like Trump’s failures in his micro-managing world.
No one knows better the mistake made than the one who made it.
If you treat people like they’ve got enough sense to come in out of the rain, when it starts raining, they’ll come in!

I think it started with Reagan and his comment, “Government IS the problem.” It’s been festering for years with more and more money thrown into politics and buying of elections, culminating with a loss of democracy, kind of like we have today, both parties guilty, leaving working men and women behind and struggling to get ahead, the wealth inequality off the charts, a neo-feudal system today, serving the overlords, the billionaire class that believe their own hype, that they got there on their own and that people struggling are just lazy.
