I don’t speak for the MRFF, I speak for myself. And yeah, my disdain for Nationalist Christians aka NatC’s is not something I choose to hide.
As I remember it the First Amendment allows for those who believe in a deity to (wait for it) worship said deity. It does not allow the Government to adopt any faith as the official faith which is the goal of every NatC who draws breath. I’ve said it before and I repeat it here, if NatC’s stopped breaking the rules they wouldn’t receive the majority of attention from agencies like the MRFF.
This is what the NatC’s don’t understand; my religious rights end where yours begin and no where does it say (Declaration of Independence aka best break up letter ever or the Constitution and Bill of Rights) anyone gets to force anyone into any sort of worship scenario in the public square, in the military, anywhere means anywhere.
To insist any religion gets a pass is to violate every principle upon which this nation was founded. To say the USA has failed to live up to their own origin documents is an understatement. That said, when we know better we do better.
Things are already crashed to pieces. What say you fellow citizens? Are you getting your building chops in shape? The religion in which I was raised is irrelevant. What IS relevant is that I am a TAXPAYER and, like untold millions of other taxpayers whose religions are also irrelevant, I object to the giving over of secular, taxpayer-funded spaces and facilities to overtly sectarian purposes and symbols for the nakedly transparent purpose of those sectarian actors trying to advance THEIR religion, and theirs, alone.
THOSE are the only ones Mikey has called “insects” (insulting to the noble insects, who pollinate our crops and flowers); whether they are themselves merchant mariners or not is the final irrelevancy.

The person saying California Council of Churches speaks on politics and elections is wrong. It’s the c-4 sister organization, IMPACT, that does the work, and it is ALWAYS non partisan. No endorsements ever of candidates. We honor the Sarbanes-Oxley laws on that. Opposing a policy is perfectly legal. We never do otherwise.
