I’ve known Mikey for over 50 years.  We’ve maintained intermittent contact throughout our individual careers in the Air Force and in civilian life.  Each time we meet, it’s an intriguing mix of friendship, exciting news, a sense of astonished wonder how we’ve survived calamity, and always: hopefulness for the future.

The work of MRFF has been the most important effort by any organization that I’ve seen for the betterment of our country, our national community, and our way of life.

Mikey has advocated for those who are unable to advocate for themselves, through fear of reprisal or physical harm.  He’s doing the work that is often vilified and subject to awful retribution.  But it’s noble and virtuous work.  Mikey and MRFF answer the pleas of those who suffer humiliation and indignity at the hands of individuals who profess a religious calling, yet persecute those who don’t abide by their version of righteousness.  Mikey and MRFF answer when no one else does.  It’s work that is often bleak and in the crosshairs at the same time.

No one should be subject to another’s belief system against their will.  History has shown how savage retribution can by those who are challenged by individuals or groups who only want to peacefully hold on to their native beliefs and conventions.  Mikey and MRFF are at the forefront to protect individual and community rights in the military against an imposing majority.

I am proud to be a donor to this amazing organization.  I’m a retired military officer with over 26 years of service.  I’m also an attorney and a professional in the IT industry where I’ve encountered some of the vile actions of people in positions of authority who think they are doing the work of God.

Without Mikey and MRFF, our country is fated to disintegrate into chaos, as it seems to be doing now.  They hold the line.  More support and donors are needed to keep this worthwhile effort going.  If not for our own lives, then for the lives of our children and their children.
