Dear Mikey,
It has been a while since I was in the US Army.  However, I’m not sure you or your organization has mentioned this before.
Taking the oath to the US Constitution does not have an end date.
Anyone who has taken the Oath is required to live up to its standard for the rest of their lives.
While it is true that the oath a non-officer takes is slightly different than an officer, there is no difference in the fact that the oath is tied to the US Constitution and does not allow orders to be followed that are not consistent with US Law and the US Constitution.
The fact that several politicians and others who have served in the US military seemed to have gone against their oath makes them non-patriots at least and anti-American at most.
It would be nice if failure to keep the oath was at least punishable in some way beside just calling them names.
Sincerely,

(name withheld)
