Wait . . . did I miss something? An ICU nurse witnessed a woman being attacked by Border Patrol “agents” and took video of the incident. He tried to help the woman who was attacked for no apparent reason . . . and the Secretary of Veterans Affairs says that Minneapolis police officials are to blame for this nurse being wrestled to the ground, immobilized, and KILLED in front of multiple people making video recordings of the incident?
WTFO? I REPEAT, WTFO? In WHAT UNIVERSE does this make sense? Were the local police supposed to be there to prevent ICE/Border Patrol official overreach?
To borrow the famous words of the LEGENDARY Capt. L.T. Parker, Jr, USAF, “That don’t make sense to NOBODY!”
J. P., Oh my friend. What I’m about to write will hurt your heart but only because you are a good person. It’s OK you don’t know this. I do and I share my knowledge so you don’t have to experience this first hand.
In what universe does this make sense you ask. Well, it makes total sense to an abuser and unfortunately enough it is what many abuse survivors live through every day.
This is classic Look at What You Made Me Do behavior coming out of Doug Collins.
The Minneapolis police were not helping the protestors, not at first. Jolly Good Ginger was out on the freezing streets and posted many videos of ICE lobbing HC gas cannisters and flash bangs at nonviolent protestors and the cops stood in a line, keeping them from escaping the assault. Their videos are out on YouTube. Hard to watch but honest, brutally honest.
For the record, all of the Minnesota and Minneapolis leaders were calling for folks to use their skills and remain nonviolent, which they did despite extreme provocation from ICE. My assessment of their achievement of goals is 20/10, no notes.
Added thought: the cops in Minneapolis are the same group back in the day who lobbed tear gas cannisters at a peaceful crowd after a George Floyd Memorial service for the crime of not dispersing as fast as their little White souls demanded. They gassed kids and the elderly because they couldn’t get out of the way fast enough because the memorial was well attended.
That night yes, the protest turned into a riot and they burned down the police station. Honestly, I can’t blame them. If I remember correctly the aftermath investigation proved malfeasance by the cops of the station leading to mass reform of the entire Minnesota police force. Not enough reform I guess which is why I’m pro Abolish ICE rather than try to do any reforming. Unless a person wants to change their hateful ways there is no amount of training that will change their mind.
When we know better we do better may be one of the steps to better mental health but to many that’s just quitter talk. Their motto is Hate makes us Great!

First he told Iran if they attacked protestors, he’d attack them, while he attacked and murdered protestors here at home.
But that’s why the narrative has changed. He’s got a new reason. Now he’s telling Iran, “if you don’t sign a nuclear deal, we’re going to attack you!” Never mind he had a nuclear deal handed to him on a silver platter but, he tore it up – it didn’t have his name on it.
And of course, the Iranians are quietly replenishing their ballistic missile capability. And receiving support from Russia and China.
The first to get hit with another American attack on Iran? Israel and Qatar of course. Not to mention closing down the straight of Hormuz immediately putting the world economy into an incipient spin.
But, you know, this president of peace y’all put back in, you know, the no more wars guy, will do anything to keep you away from his pedophilia. He knows that’s the one thing his good Christian base won’t stand for. Or will they?
Megan Kelly has already told the base that those girls were 15 and that’s OK. You know, Megan’s a good Christian isn’t she?
Get your boys ready parents. Course, an attack on Iran is only an air game. No troops on the ground beyond spec ops and CIA.

Grey One, I appreciate youe efforts to spare me the realization that abusers are gonna abuse and blame their victims. Unfortunately, I, too, have witnessed similar behavior in my time. And I acknowledge that, much as I want to witness a world in which this kind of thing never happens again, it undoubtedly will. There’s a LOTTA work needed to repair this broken world. And whether there is any transcendent power in this universe or not, it will be up to US to come together and get the work done!
That said . . . . . . I find a need to scream into the void from time to time about situations like this. I’m angry! I don’t WANT this world to be this way! I don’t want future generations of humans to suffer so. But as long as a group is given power to antagonize others so there’s an excuse to arrest and abuse the people without power, we can expect these things to continue.

Synergy, I would love to see Israel and the people of Gaza engage in tikkun olam! Let us do more than wish them well: let us press them to be ingenious and gracious in creating new futures for the Middle East that is more inclusive and more equitable for all.

I think we ought to address NF more directly. I realize it’s likely a bot designed to unsettle us, but assuming it’s not, just saying it’s put a bounty on the people who do MRFF’s wonderful work just isn’t likely to change anything. For the people threatened, it seems more like life as usual: SSDD.
What would make the threat more credible would be if NF were to make a credible display that it has the resources to carry out those threats. Because if anyone were to try collecting the bounties NF has claimed to pay, they ought to be able to verify that they’ll be paid for their work.
Somehow, I don’t think NF has either the money or the intent to make good on the threat. That makes it both ignor-ant AND ignor-able. And nobody thinking of taking NF up on it’s “bounty” should even consider it until NF shows it’s got money in its mouth!

The war powers bill is in front of the Senate and supposedly at any moment will be voted upon and I encourage anyone out there, please contact your senators and your representatives and tell them they’ve gotta pass this bill … we need to put a curb on this president and if we get a chance to have another election, any other president in the future who would unilaterally declare war where there is no justification, legally or morally. Something has to be done to stop this inane insanity ASAP … and boy, how many things I could lump into that “inane insanity” label that exists within this current Federal administration!!
